What are your guys’ thoughts on terms like WLW and MLM? They’re very tumblr-ish, but i’ve got a bit of a soft spot for WLW, since it’s explicitly “women” and can be connected with WSW, so it’s easy to explain. Also, the entire purpose is to include bi/what-have-you women, a subject i could write textbooks on. Also, it’s caught on pretty well
I haven’t heard MLM mostly i’m guessing since you guys just don’t feel like you need it? which is understandable

Oh, and if you couldn’t guess, I’m a lesbian. Prefer bi women though, they don’t have as much of a stick up their ass and generally seem more chill
Pretty unnecessary terminology when could just say "gay/bi men or women", if you ask me.

You know, I wanted to write this snarky, but I think those are popular on Tumblr because so many of their users are virgins. Hence, "M4M" or "MSM" (never heard that one before today) probably triggers the aro or ace kids. "Loving" doesn't imply any actual physical contact, and they're all about that kind of bland generalization.

WLW and MLM could be useful terms if they weren't just used exclusively by troons and Aidens, respectively.

Also wtf I have literally never heard of a lesbian or gay preferring a bi partner. What's up with that? Are bi women that much easier to get along with?

There's a stereotype that bi women 'put out' more.

They do fill the linguistic gap that was left when “gay” became “men exclusively attracted to men” and “lesbian” became “woman exclusively attracted to women.” But I associate them a bit too close to the left to feel comfortable saying them.

Also, some libtards on tumblr are trying to claim “WLW” as a black-only thing. Some people I’m unfortunately acquainted with will throw fits if you use WLW instead of some shit like “sapphic.” Because only black women can be women who love other women. And only racists would argue otherwise.

Sapphic is something that lesbos tried to use again for like a month online until it the trannies saw it and it permanently came to mean "sweaty ugly tranny who wants true and honest lesbian pussy"

I also see a lot of bi women use the term for themselves to play buddy buddy with lesbians. Lesbians don’t really enjoy it, from what I’ve noticed.

trying to find the perfect label to describe your sexuality is what led to tumblr shit, stop depending on other people's perceptions of you for validation. why are you even serious posting about your sexuality on kiwifarms, go suck a dick and calm down

It shouldn't be that fucking complicated. You're a guy who exclusively fucks guys? You're gay. You're a girl who exclusively fucks girls? You're a lesbian. You only fuck the opposite sex? You're straight. You fuck both guys and girls? You're bi. End of conversation. All these new terms and slang just smell like Tumblr bullshit to me.

I only know of those terms from 90s era papers where people would advertise for "relationships"

Knowing about Tumblr, pretty eure they habe a different meaning now.

Yeah. AFAIK they were coined to encapsulate gay/bi men and lesbian/bi women, but with the rise of troons and enby genders, “women who love women” has now been stretched like a tube sock around a bloated dickgirl thigh to include all “womanish-gendered people who love womanish-gendered people.” (Vice versa for “men who love men”.) Because you don’t have to be a woman to be a woman! You just need to be woman-aligned, which is genderfag speak for “I relate to women and womenhood most.”

In simpler terms: WLW and MLM have come to mean “women-kin who love women-kin,” and “men-kin who love men-kin.”

It feels like all the straight people I know are getting engaged or they’re already married and all the gay people are either slutting around or in long term relationships and then there’s forever alone me.

Dude, you're not the only one. I'm past "gay dead" and surrounded by SJWs. I still look like a teenager so most of the guys who approach me are 65 year old Herbert The Perverts. I have sex almost never. It blows.

You know what I'm doing about it? Exercising. Getting rich. Best shot I think will be cradle robbing some 20 year old Giga Chad who's not yet old enough to feel perverted about humping a guy who looks younger than him and likes the tiny smart boy type.

You either concede or you keep playing. I don't make the rules.

love a bulldyke as much as the next guy but i have never met another lesbian that wasn’t annoying or an ass. Most bi people don’t isolate themselves in their own sexuality so they tend to seem more like actual people imo

I second this. I've rarely encountered lesbians within my demographics who weren't some sort of enby they/he/xyr flavor. I know one tolerable "nb lesbian" and "he/she lesbian." The rest were all just following me online to dig up dirt on me because I follow bisexuals and transsexuals who dislike pansexuality.

We discussing nuanced LGBT labels? Here's something that popped up on my Twitter feed that I genuinely started to ape up about:
