Huh. Maybe I was wrong.
I couldn't really say which is "worse" numerically. On the one hand, I'm pretty sure there are more gay pedophiles than there are Catholic priests. On the other, that institution is a giant malevolent NGO with millions and millions of people psychologically trapped in its crab-bucket cult. Really though I don't think it makes sense to think of the two as totally distinct entities.
I'm curious:
When guys describe themselves as "Str8" while looking for obviously non-straight activities, do you consider those people straight? I don't understand how you're classifying these abusers as straight rather than gay or bisexual. What is the gayest action a person can do and still be straight and how do you make that determination, is what I'm asking.
What does it define as a "degrading act"?
Those dietary restrictions were overturned in a vision given to St. Peter in the book of Acts (the typology behind the Old Testament restrictions was fulfilled in the New Testament); prescriptions against homosexuality were not. The consensus on this from the community that produced the first canon of books that would come to be called "The Bible" is very clear.
