Genuine credit where credit is due. Chip's Let's Play episodes still remain as watchable as ever even if we only get one per year.

Meanwhile even something like TheRunawayGuys has basically devolved into "naive autist gets groomed by an insane far left Canadian trans woman into regurgitating bluesky talking points for 30 minutes"

I maintain the oldfag theory that, at least as far as his edited video content goes, his stuff would be completely digestible if he’d just find a co-commentator who just…wouldn’t bring politics into their comedy or insight. 95% of games don’t need it, and of that remaining 5%, 4% should only be discussed from a perspective of mockery due to light/heavy-handedness or tone deafness. It doesn’t need to be there.

Some SA elder statesperson who reads here, extend thy red right hand and deliver this manlet from his banishment to Scandinavia, bring him home to us

Anyone remember that RP of a guy playing Super Castlevania 4, he said something to the effect of "I really like the Mode7 effects" and they spent the whole video ridiculing him for it, that's what I hate about Something Awful, at least back in like 08 or 09. That attitude of being "above" it all, it was really unwarranted and fucking gay

Randomly was thinking about that video Slowbeef did where he got a bunch of clearly maladjusted goon manchildren to do over the top reactions to Pewdiepie and titled the video "Adults react to Pewdiepie" back in 2013. Even as bad as old Pewdiepie was this shit was still distilled cringe back then.

You don't get it. Slowbeef is the "Inventor of LPs". It is literally his job to make sure other people don't violate the standards he decided on.

I remember when this came out and the realization that Slowbeef was that blob man was very disappointing. I was subbed to Retsupurae when I was in high school.

I was in dicking around the SA archived stuff on lowtax day and watched the video where he's sperging out about DSP again. I think him saying "I LOVE THIS GUY" should be a sound clip.
