I've not played Xcom EW in a while. Thought I'd revisit.

This is a casual playthrough. I don't know if I'll finish it. Going to go heavy of shivs and mechs. Going to see if I can edit the ini to increase meld drops.

Taking sign ups. If you want to be a robot man (or woman), a shiv, or any particular soldier or class, let me know. It'll be a first come, first serve basis. Lolcows are also acceptable.

I recently had the itch to play XCOM/UFO/Xenonauts, and this seems to be a sign... to sign me up! I expect to be dead within the first mission or so; a name like mine is so Redshirt-y.

Basically, you get your limbs removed and get shoved into an giant robotic suit that gets to punch aliens. Occasionally to the point of turning them into goo.

Small technical hickup. It seems to want me to install .net framework 3.5 for the launcher to work, and bypassing the launcher doesn't work. I might have to install it. I'll see if Steam will do it on it's own, or I can try running it on an old machine. Not sure yet. It doesn't seem to be a big deal. If anyone knows about it, let me know.

I might as well ask, where should I start? I know Xcom Asia is the meta choice, but I can go for any and make it work.

Since this doesn't want to seem to work, I wonder if it's worth doing an Xcom 2 playthrough instead. Won't be robot themed however.
