According to Midnight's edge, the movie had also a marketing cost of 100 million
Since sony expects this to be the start of a franchise they estimated it has to earn more than 500 million total.

Milo will fucking love that. The sheer amount of people making that Game of Thrones quote about cutting out a man's tongue in his honor would make him squeal like his first time seeing a black dick.
 
The sad thing is, imagine a kid who saw Ghostbusters in theatres, learned one of them had a Twitter account, logged in and saw his hero talking about apes and semen.

Exactly! And they'll see that idol throwing out petty insults left and right- "no u" "haha that's what your mom said last night" and like, just word salads... That kid might think that's totally the way to go about solving confrontations and they will get a hard slap in the face with reality when they imitate her and find out that's not the case.

Went to a appointment today, sitting in a waiting room, with a TV as they do, and I noticed that CBC was on.. and they were doing a giant peice about how LESLIE JONES IS A BEUTIFUL WYMYNYN AND IS BEING HARASSED BY MY SOGGY KNEES. Goddamnit KF, get out of the real world! Its not for you!

It's incredible how fast people forget what freedom of speech really means.
