also she looks like she's doubled in size recently. if she were anyone else I would be worried about how her health is probably suffering due to her exponential weight gain, but she makes it so hard to feel sorry for her. who brags about assaulting their own sister?

“Girls” may be gone, but Lena Dunham is not. Variety reports that the actress and filmmaker is adapting “A Hope More Powerful Than the Sea: One Refugee’s Incredible Story of Love, Loss, and Survival” for a project being co-produced by Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams. One imagines that the movie based on Melissa Fleming’s nonfiction account of a Syrian refugee lost at sea will have a somewhat shorter title by the time it’s complete.

Fleming, who serves as chief spokesperson for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), wrote her book about Dooa Al Zamel, who fled Egypt via boat along with hundreds of other refugees (including her husband) en route to Sweden. After being shipwrecked and watching many of her fellow passengers die, she survived by cradling her two small children in her arms for days with the help of an inflatable ring.

Prior to creating and writing both “Girls” and “Camping” for HBO, Dunham wrote, directed, and starred in the film “Tiny Furniture”; she also co-wrote “Nobody Walks,” Ry-Russo Young’s independent drama starring John Krasinski, Olivia Thirlby, and Rosemarie DeWitt. Her next big-screen outing will be in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” in which she plays Manson Family member Catherine “Gypsy” Share.

No other news about “A Hope More Powerful Than the Sea” has been announced, which is to say that it is currently seeking both a director and a cast. Paramount Pictures is expected to co-distribute it with Spielberg’s Amblin, which is co-producing alongside Abrams’ Bad Robot.

Seriously the last project a self admitted child molester needs to be on is one where some of the central characters are children
 
This fat, ugly, patently-insane pedo must either be the best-connected person in show biz, or have some really damaging dirt on key individuals in that industry. Nothing else could explain how, after this string of failures and humiliations, she could land a Spielberg project -- much less something involving an issue utterly divorced from her woefully narrow experiences or knowledge.

She has really rich, well-connected parents that have been using their money and influence to buy her a career from the beginning.
 
This movie is going straight to development hell. No script, no director, nothing. Not even a catchy title.
 
Lena's dad paints the same kind of weird shit that Marina Abramovic did. If anyone should be accused of spirit cooking, it's probably him. At least that might explain why Lena's such a fuckup.

She proudly wrote about it in her book along with chronically the decade long sexual and emotional abuse she subjected her sister to. She thought it would make her quirky and give her queer cred or whatever and some people called her out for the sexual abuse it was. For nearly all of it she was a kid, but as you get into your late teens and you're emotionally manipulating your sister into kissing you and sleeping next to you while you masturbate, it calls the naivety of what she was doing into question. The fact she thought her abuse was a neat story to include in her biography shows that she's a disgusting piece of shit.
