Only 1.5% of full time workers in the US are paid minimum wage, half of those are under 25, 80% are unmarried with no dependents. This is a far cry from the 13.4% of full time workers making minimum wage in 1979. The demographic of "family of 4 making minimum wage to survive" practically doesn't exist, yet we're supposed to destroy our economy just for their sake.
 
And of course they're probably using the rent for an upscale multi-bedroom apartment in the state's major metropolitan areas, as is their tendency to do for statements like that.
