Like many lefty memes, this wall of text is so loaded with words and subtext that only a few people are going to fully understand. At best, it overloads everyone else. My interpretation of the piece is this: only a few titles get most of the attention, that's not fair, and nobody is innocent.

I see two possible ideals being implied here. 1: Widespread awareness of every entertainment release when the market is more saturated than ever. 2: Most people fragmenting into their own niches. There are also two fundamental problems with that. 1: We all have a finite amount of attention, and near infinite thing that could have it. 2: Most people don't want to work for their entertainment.

Their particular examples don't make a strong case either. Goose game has a very wide range of appeal, stands out among hundreds of indie metroidvanias and rougelikes, and there can only really be one 'goose game'. Kentucky Route Zero is also a relatively popular game in it's genre, especially with critics. That genre has existed for decades, and has always only had niche appeal.
You forgot to mention the shit tier editing of said meme and it so devoid of humor that even an alcoholic clown would feel pity for them

It's pretty bad when boomer memes are legitimately funnier than your memes.
