With how the Left is now, I'm classifying this as an implied threat as well.

The way the first sentence is structured states the astronaut’s confusion is the conservatives are protecting pedophiles rather than protecting leftists, rather than protecting leftists. A better way to write it would be “Wait, so the conservatives, rather than the leftists, are the ones protecting pedophiles?”

The sentiment is horseshit; the only reason leftists en masse care about pedophilia in politics is as a vehicle to criticize their opponents.

So, Trump knocks out Maduro with a bat and snorts coke afterward? I don't get it.
He's snorting Venezuelan oil
The talking point is that Trump is a filthy ne'er-do-well naughty boy who, empowered by fascist MAGA Nazi fascists, beats up innocent harmless commie dictator Maduro to get that sweet oil

So a superpower fights with a communist regime, the regime loses. Sounds like a skill issue. Git gud.

They all do now, what with Trump freaking out over the Epstein docs.

The drag queens and other fags get away with it because leftists think it's good that children are being taught to be swell poopy faggots.
no, lefties just see nothing wrong with drag queens and trannies at all, ever. To them, it's just conservatives who are repressing their fagginess and are just attracted to them are why they hate them.

The funny thing is that they don't understand how OK most people are with that. It's not an effective meme if you read it and go, "Yeah, it's probably not true, but even if it is, good deal."

I mean that's the saddest parts about all the wars for oil in Iraq and such. WE NEVER GOT OUR FUCKING OIL.

Is this... actual satire of American nationalism that references a past military conflict instead of defaulting to orange man bad?
Interventionism, but yes. It's not a great comic, considering it references WW2, and thus seems to say "interventionism was good back then when it was against people I don't like but it's bad now because oil bad", but at least it's got neat visual composition.

Good hearted americans help Venezuelans build better infrastructure for their oil extraction. Unironically it might happen, since Venezuela is notoriously bad at exploiting its own oil reserves, and they could end up better off even with the USA taking its share.

This is one of the, no, check that.

THE most infuriating of many double standards the left impose on the discourse? Is this.

Anything the left doesn't like? Is from a place of genuine moral decency. Or, at worst? They just don't like it.

Anything the right doesn't like? Is because they're closeted supporters of that thing to such a degree they can't help but go home and jizz on their shrine to it every night. They only denounce it publicly to try and keep it a secret.

They'll never draw the connection that making it too tough to drill for oil that's under our own feet will just make us go elsewhere for it.

The idea perverse on the left that oil is evil and we shouldn't use it and if you won't give it up voluntarily? They have the right to take it from you through lawfare and overregulation of your daily life? Is the only logical outcome. No, not dropping five figures on an EV that's inferior to the car they already have, no, not setting up solar panels on the roof that will never pay back the cost and can't even get you off the grid.... it's going to be a demand to get more oil, no matter how.

And they can't see it.

You create your own "oil wars" when you artificially make it scarce.

And doesn't Canada have MASSIVE amounts of oil?

And even if it were true that oil is bad and heats the earth up, there's always figuring out how to make cleaner nuclear energy, and figuring out ways to either reuse or safely dispose of used nuclear fuel. We've actually solved the latter problem a good while ago. If leftists were truly concerned about climate change, they'd be all for nuclear energy.

Autistic digression, I know.
