Most of the tribes in that area were eastern invaders displaced by wars and exhausting their food supplies. They pushed every group to the west of them further west after bloody wars. The Cree and Ojibwa were extremely successful conquerors in Canada who even welcomed European expansionism because it helped cement their dominance.

What bugs me about this is, seeing as how it's clearly tribal Africans needing gibs as usual, is that the US and the UN have provided billions in aid, in food, education, housing, etc.. to dozens of countries in Africa and it has yielded jack shit in results.

We'd have been better off nuking Africa and then using all that money as literal fuel to explore the solar system then the results we got and continue to get by the west flushing hundreds of billions of dollars in cash and resources into a people who have accomplished exactly jack and shit.
