LBY is the first attempt at crypto-izing P2P that I've seen that actually looks promising.

Essentially, you can charge people LBRY Coins for access to your content and then they're peered into the network. You can charge nothing as well. It appears that the person uploading the videos maintains some level of centralized control using digital signing with your private key.

lol i bought a big chunk of this based on TA (chart patterns) in late june... and it is currently worth 7% of what I paid for it in BTC.

This kind of thing is I think the real power of block-chain technology that will be what transforms the future; instead of internet of things, block-chain of things. I'm more excited about hearing about this than the etherium crypto-kitties, that's for sure.
