Bipolars in a manic phase almost totally lack judgment and do stupid, self-destructive shit. While creatives often have it, they're not getting their best work done in a full manic phase. And yes, throwing drugs on the fire makes it even worse.
Wrong. Kanye made his best work in a manic state. All his niggas heil hitler and he sucked his cousins dick.

I agree that you tend to see drug use (legal, gray-legal, and obviously illicit) with bipolar, but I think the average bipolar person will tell you about how they seek out the substances to self-medicate both the highs, lows, and in-betweens. Is that true? Also not sure, it's always been quite gray and personalized ime.

Especially with certain drugs which are known to have BOTH stimulating and depressive effects (regardless of their technical medical designations.) I.e. alcohol is a depressant but somebody who is depressed might find it helps them socialize and relieves their pains, and so drink it as an upper. Even ADHD drugs might seem like a good idea to somebody in a manic phase who is upset that they "just can't concentrate." And it is obviously very easy to find people who would support you esp. online, I think even good ol' Kanye directly said he was going on Reddit and people were telling him this and that.

Biggest thing for me is that bipolars seem super reluctant to acknowledge they probably should be straight-edge sober people. If anybody is going to have a massive breakdown from some weed gummies that hit too hard, it's going to be a bipolar. If somebody is going to have a drunken crashout and lose their job and crash the car and kill people on the road, it'll be a bipolar. I'm not super against kratom and think there's a lot of more "niche" drugs that have valid and understated medical and recreational uses, but when it comes to such underregulated markets, the bipolar guys (and women ig) should really stay out, because they're the ones who are at the most extreme risks, second only to schizophrenics.

I would be really interested to know if bipolar disorder isn't kinda a two-way street of behavioral patterns/choices/beliefs that escalate mood in either direction, and the neuropsychology behind it. I.e. it's more of a personality disorder than a mood disorder. I guess you could say the same about depressive and anxiety disorders though. It's not very controversial to say that the average person with an active mood disorder lives a lifestyle that actively promotes it. Unless you're around the HAAS crowd or similar people detached from reality.

To relate this back to Legal Mindset and lawtube: Just out of my ass, I think there are associations to narcissism with both bipolar AND the law sphere. Well, and "influencing" as a career.

I only knew about Legal Mindset a little bit from various moments when he made videos about other people. I really did not know he had this side of him, although I did wonder how he ended up as some influencer in some Asian country vs. being a "normal lawyer." I figured he was some kinda degen perv tbh, the guys who want to FIRE and get a cheap wife for sex reasons, and desire to live in cheap countries where they can afford more hedonistic things, and have no social network (family, people who knew you from childhood, etc) keeping them from their degen lives. Geez, that sounds like an awful idea for somebody with poorly managed bipolar.

Legal Mindset aka Andrew had a good cry about being back.

This isn't so much a funny ha-ha, laugh at the lolcow moment, as it is worrying about a decent guy that suffers from bipolar and knowing that there isn't much that can be done to help him.

However I do think there are videos on how bipolar disorder CAN be managed. But I think it is one of those conditions where he needs a reliable set of people around him (typically family) to keep an eye on him and send him to the funny farm whenever he periodically runs himself off the rail.
Schizo mindset about to come up with some court case against Satan shit will be cringe kino.

At the start of his stream, he mentioned that he had to cut down on alcohol as that was causing him some problems. (bipolar? he really should completely cut that out). Said he is going to switch to smoking. evaps are technically illegal in thailand, but are readily available everywhere. It is election year. He got busted by cops with a e-cig and fined.

He also said he is going to try and cut down on hentia too. But he is now gooning over goth girls.

I think he has a stuffed emotional support hippo behind him.

Andrew stated he gets addicted to toxic relationships. Specifically the women who know how to say thing they know will really piss you off. He loves the highs and lows. Also mentions his bipolar disorder in conjunction with this. Some chicks really do be crazy, but god forbid you get with a man who is into crazy chicks and does not learn & decide that they are not worth the trouble.

Andrew strongly advised against mixing your personal assistant with being your girlfriend. He made this mistake and it is borderline unethical.

Stated that he is Bipolar Type 2 also, to another commenter.

Stated that he knows rebound relationships are a bad idea and the first relationship you have afterwards can probably be not the best.

An important distinction, as type 2 doesn’t come with the extreme mania that comes to mind when people think of bipolar disorder. (Many professionals lament the label bipolar being used at all, as it falsely presents the disorder as one of poles rather than a spectrum. Manic-Depressive Disorder was just fine.)

Andrew also seems low T to me, and I’m not saying that to be mean. If his hormones are fucked, it would explain the crying more than a vague “depression” explanation.

probably more like a personality disorder and a drug addiction. bipolar in and of itself is simply mood disorder and characterized by huge swings in energy. Bipolar ALONE can make someone difficult or annoying because they dont operate on a normal biological schedule like normal people. the reason its blamed for so much bad behavior is because its the best/easiest way that people can justify themselves without being held accountable for their actions. there might even be some kind of evolutionary benefit to being bipolar but combining it with booze, coke, and narcissism is what makes losers like this go on youtube and make powerpoints about texas counties having pro-female biases and later crying about muh mentals. same thing with rekeita. honeslty if yoi think youre bipolar but have nothing productive to show for your manic periods then youre probably just a worthless druggie fag

I have interacted with bipolar persons. It is not only about energy. They do have a lot of energy. The problem is that they are not sane.

They often want some abstract idea that cannot be fulfilled. You cannot reason with them. They will continue on the same track.

If you try to reason with them, and explain why the thing™ they want does not work, at first they will jump back to the same track, they will not take in what you are saying. If you continue to explain, trying to reason with them, they will start to get angry and might get really hostile.

He’s bipolar 2, not the original bipolar everyone thinks of when they hear the word. The type you describe is the OG, which presents very differently from what LM has.
Had to look this up cause I recently saw that chef heston blumenthal who recently came back out on videos and he looked...slow. Almost like he got hit by a truck and is recovering. Apparently due to his meds for the bipolar (til borderline personality and bipolar isnt the same)

Anyway, I read 2 isnt so extreme but can have long lasting depression bouts. Being so far away from home with no family cant be helping.

Yeah that’s what I was saying in my previous post. It doesn’t come with the kind of mania most people think of when they hear bipolar. But the lows are a next-level depth of despair by all accounts. The absolute worst thing for someone being hammered by bipolar 2 is relocating thousands of miles from all your loved ones. Under no circumstances should depression ever be treated with isolation.

This isn't so much a funny ha-ha, laugh at the lolcow moment, as it is worrying about a decent guy that suffers from bipolar and knowing that there isn't much that can be done to help him.
Well that explains the episodes he'd have.
Yeah, like kratom can fuck people up and change them but if you already have a disorder making you have extreme peaks and valleys it's gonna make both sides of the coin worse.
i dont think its fair to blame being bipolar for his behavior. he is essentially saying "guys its this darn condition i was born with thats making me act like an unstable retard".
I wouldn't blame it on that but both would definitely be big contributing factors. Especially combined. At the end of the day if he has a mental illness he's aware of it's still his responsibility to manage it or get help for that & if he needs to leave his hot chick heaven & go west that's what he should do.

Previously Andrew had announced that he suffers from bipolar.
Also looking forward to his Terry Davis arc.
Terry didn't suffer from bipolar but.... yeah makes sense. Even his commenters noticed how he sometimes "doesn't seem right" which can be a whiplash to people who saw him one video covering a case normally then another video where he is implying Hasan should be legally enslaved (lol).

Bad idea to be alone in that country, or alone ever with that disorder. Already confirmed he uses hard psychoactive substances, combine that with bad timing and it can affect everyone around him including himself. Maybe there is some inpatient care he can sign up to there just to keep things stable.

Trust me right now your empathy says "oh poor guy he really is trying" but if unchecked that can easily boom into a completely avoidable situation. Calm before the storm.

@Vibe_Guy What drugs has he been confirmed to be using outside of what is being prescribed to him? I know that he has been hopping around Asia and they have all sorts of weird drugs like betel nut.

Being around party bar girls will be dangerous for him if they dive into other illicit substances and want to drink all of the time.

It sounds like he is doing all he can on accessing professional psychiatric advice and taking prescribed meds and giving feedback to his doctor when the meds are not working correctly.

But the #1 thing that is going to hang him is when he has a mental breakdown in Asia and he doesn't have a family support network right next to him to snap him out of it and get him to visit a psychologist to help him even out.

God forbid he have a mental breakdown in Japan where they just lock you in a mental hospital until you stop acting crazy. Mental health care will vary in Asia. Cop and judicial tolerances and responses to crazy will vary too. He needs to be back in Florida near family to keep an eye on him as a back stop.

You can't just toss a head case on an airplane back to the US for better help.

Explains that weird stream from months ago. I like LM but I've always been wary because the Vtuber shit and general passport bro vibe. Is this yet another Balldo victory?

Legal Mindset will be livestreaming on the Tetone thing in 35 minutes. 4PM EST. Let's see if he overshares some more.

This might be an opportunity for inquisitive people to ask about any non-prescription drug use he has engaged in, and if he has stopped. Or ask if he is going back to Japan given how they treat mental health issues and the risk of him having a manic event in Japan.

Remember folks. No cow tipping.

And that said, I don't consider Andrew a lolcow. For a guy with depression and Bipolar Type 2 disorder, he has almost done everything right.

When his friends contacted him, he sought medical professional help. Followed their advice. Took his meds. And when his meds were not working well, he told his medical professional and they modified his meds. Andrew learns from his mistakes and follows the advice of his friends when he is in trouble. If only all lolcows were like Andrew.... we would have a dead forum.

He didn't drop alcohol immediately. But has acknowledged that he is already cutting back because it is causing him some problems with his bipolor diagnosis. (I think he needs to drop booze completely.) And Andrew was smart enough to stop booze streaming after seeing what booze streaming did to Nick Rekieta.
