Read some of the thread but I might be missing things, anyone mind giving a short summary of recent events

1. Loomer shoahed off twitter for FGM stuff, calling out Muslims.
2. Loomer moves to Gab, warm greetings by the users with torches, ovens, and Zyklon B.
3. Triggered, she cuffs herself to the door of Twitter HQ, wearing all black and a big yellow Jude star. She demands twitter unban her.

3.2 She moans about how Twitter is anti-Jewish through her cheap Chinese megaphone [1], bans """conservative journalists""" etc. People pass by staring at her.
3.3 Twitter responds, saying they will not press charges, so she can spaz out as long as she likes
3.4 She keeps making a fool out of herself. Constantly, she quotes that hilarious "I'm not an anti-semite, I'm an anti-termite" tweets. What do you do with a termite infestation? You gas them.
3.5 She even says she'll piss her own pants...
4. Police breaks her cuffs and arrests her.
5. Mainstream news calls her an "alt-right Jewish troll" of some sort, lol.

[1]: during the diatribe, the megaphone plays out a tune, that's the same tune commonly found on Chinese megaphones, that high pitch irritating tune sure made my ears bleed.

That's been going on for some time now, and everyone knows twitter is garbage but the :autism: is so spicy it has a certain charm to it. I don't think anyone even cares about twitters banning at this point in time anymore.

Being banned on twitter is as common as walking in a dog park and stepping in shit, you might be surprised at first but you realize you should expect it.

The only good reason to use Twitter is to troll and/or antagonize other Twitter users.

Anyways, now that nobody on the right is defending her, it's safe to say it was a total bust. Now if only somebody could convince Laura that part of the psychological warfare that the silicon valley left is engaging on e-celeb conservatives is to drive them to do exactly this kind of thing as a reaction. Even if that's not exactly true, it's still a healthier mindset than whatever she thought she was accomplishing with this stunt. I mean he's not wrong, Loomer is like another Mattress girl. She gets to number #1 on Twitter, but the funny thing is, people are trying to get to Number #1 on Twitter so hard, they forgot to have anything meaningful or intelligent to say when they got there.

Hmmnah, there's still a real debate to be had if Twitter is a social media platform or just a curated news outlet with an editorial wing like Washington Post. If it's the latter, of course it should fall under the same regulations.

Attention is currency on the internet. Which is what I think Tim Pool was suggesting in his tweets, rather than defending Laura. She garnered a lot of attention, and even though it was mostly negative it still is a net benefit to her that her name is more well-known, even for the stupidest reasons. In the age of personal branding and celebrity activists, she's now got: more brand recognition, a better reputation with a small but potentially fruitful group of right-wing commentators that she can parlay into more media attention, and a way of keeping her name current on Twitter even when she's banned from it.

Sideshow freaks and loud assholes draw attention, which draws potential revenue streams, which encourages the whole fetid cycle. She looked like a complete moron, but as long as she keeps saying the right things her tribe won't care.
