Whats funny is in the early 17'th century this was the poorer upper an upper middle class photoshoping themselves next to a nicer car, etc it was a period of 50 years where your income was tied to the land in a very direct way, i.e. your crops an live stock so youd get your best animal a genuine prize winner and pay the artist to make it look even better - that resulted in this square animal tend in art for that period of time.

Whats even weirder is that in some places they never sorta lost this trend and when science got involved post 1950 they have been breeding these mutant animals that look more like squares, it's a very intresting social an historical concept.
