I discovered a Strange Oddity this morning. I was watching this episode of Columbo and it got to the part where Laurence Harvey's character was writing down his victim's medication. I stared at the screen in spookification as he began to write in an almost perfect copy of my own handwriting.

I have watched TV since I was little, I have looked at millions of handwritten documents. Never once have I ever seen such an exacting match for my own handwriting, it was like I was looking in a mirror! So now I am creeped out a little.

Mind you that I scribbled on the note very fast so as not to give the impression of an outright TRACING...

You can write without opposable thumbs? Impressive!

That's pretty random and cool though.

I had a moment of spookification upon clearing out a box of childhood paperwork. I found a cursive cheat sheet. It was the laminated sheet of paper with all the cursive letters that was taped to my school desk all year while I learned. It WAS the font in which I learned to write, this was the thing I was learned to replicate. And it was also extremely spookily how I write, still to this day.

It could very well be that you and this actor had teachers that used the same teaching materials/curriculum to teach handwriting. There are a few different methods, it's a whole field about how kids should be taught to write.
