You don't have to cry over spilled milk, but you do need to clean it up when it closes a roadway.
The side door of a truck making grocery deliveries accidentally opened on Front Street in Bergenfield Wednesday morning, spilling 160 gallons of milk.
A photo of the scene shared by the Bergenfield Police Department showed dozens of milk crates and empty jugs strewn all over the road, which had a thin white sheen.
Fire and public works crews were called out to clean and re-open the road.
The driver of the truck was not ticketed for the spill, the police said.
