This makes sense in some ways, but in other ways, no.

I'm not only as fanatical as I always was about free speech, but possibly even more so.

Free speech, in its most absolute sense, may be the only bulwark against absolute lunacy that we have left.
 
I see her channel still has over a million subs but no videos in a year and under 50k views on each so many of of those subs must be a combination of former fans, bots and inactive accounts.

Still leaving a channel like that to rot its stupid, but I guess she don't care anymore.

Nobody was arguing that back then, nobody except edgelords were defending rape, nobody but extreme fundies and muslims were saying women didn't deserve protection. But people like laci here were instrumental in bringing the lunacy of idpol from the toilet of academia to the mainstream, every LGTV+OLED nonsense you seen its a direct consequence of that. Even back during gamergate in 2014 there was already talk about trans gamers, you already had kids believing in 76 genders crawling out the woodwork back then, everything that's happening now was in the pipeline its just that it was still mostly on the internet but still it was spilling to the real world even then with some corporations and governments at least paying them lip service, this gender nonse you see today was predictable.

As for the new laci greens, are there any? dunno it seems that the age of the angry pop-culture glasses feminist its over, the right never liked them, moderates are sick of them and the left its so far to the left that they feel listening to a white woman talk about anything its problematic, you have to be gay /trans and if possible non-white to appeal to the left these days else they might even cancel you. This is again a consequence of the ideology these women pushed into the mainstream a decade ago, they made ignoring and cancelling people over immutable characteristics like race and sexuality acceptable and now they find themselves predictable on the other side of the plank...

That was mostly contained to sewers like SA and tumblr. If you go back even further, a lot of the really early ED articles were on proto-SJWs, but they were a completely fringe thing and generally considered absolute lunatics outside of their little bubbles. I think the whole tumblr porn exodus to Twitter, combined with actually having a culture of deranged tranny jannies there to shield for them, finally broke them into the mainstream of at least "progressive" politics.

And then even mainstream DNC politicians had to cater to these freaks.

At the same time, though, this exposure of this previously hidden group of extremely repugnant mainly online perverts to the more mainstream public started kicking off a backlash against them. Most people had previously never been exposed to the actual deviancy and viciousness of troon madness.

So at this point they're increasingly a victim of their own success.

I wish I had that optimism but I been in "two more weeks" mode regarding these woke idiots for a long time, waiting for normies to finally muster the courage to say 'no' to these wackos and instead they bend over backwards even further with every crazier bullshit. Most if not all of the opposition its coming from an increasingly alienated and contained right that its having its legs cut above the knees with all the deplatforming, destruction of alternative platforms, freezing or even seizure of assets, and outright jail time for wrong speech in some places.

Frankly the far-left has really managed to pull up the stairs, once again they took advantage of the liberal system to propagate their ideas and take control of the institutions only to use said power to keep others from doing the same.

Oh, and another thing: I feel like I know the kind of person who is most likely to stop being woke: it's usually the kind of person who would show tiny hints of an un-PC personality every now and then, such as having a snarky sense of humor, having interests that aren't woke-approved, or having individual views that aren't woke. This appears to be the case for Laci Green, especially because she caught heat for saying ''tranny'' in 2009, and not having the exact same opinions on transgenderism that would be expected from a woke person.
 
Being reminded of Laci Green's existence makes me long for the early-mid 2010s internet culture in the same way that someone frozen in the 9th circle of hell would rather be drowning in the River Styx in the 5th circle instead.

Ancap retardation is an overreaction to the unwieldy, corrupt behemoth that is our administrative state. "Believe all women" was a reaction to the Brett Kavanaugh nomination, and the fact that the allegations against him fell apart under even mild scrutiny. The core value Laci Green and her ilk were motivated by wasn't protecting women, it was the belief that false rape accusations are a valid political tool to stop the center-right.

Wokeism is a psychology problem, not a politics problem. The people who are like that generally tend to have an mc syndrome despite heavy projection and they will do anything to be on the "good team" cause their worldview is stupidly limited. That's partially why it's affecting more people over time cause both people are getting pozzed by media and people want attention. It's a difficult thing to self reflect and be normal which is why we can place basic humanity over ideology. Laci as far as I know was pretty much the same which is why she stopped being woke after soygon apologized to her and she forgave him.

At this point the #MeToo nonesense had already spiraled out of control.

You have to realize, when a lot of this started there WAS structural issues going on the preyed on women in a lot of elite circles. Harvey Weinstein DID get away with abusing his position of power to fuck talent. Bill Cosby got away with outright drugging and raping women for years. Epstein had literally been busted for sex crimes against minors and outright continued his racket for years.

The problem with #MeToo wasn't that it was going after rapists with credible accusations against them that flew under the radar for years. Its that, relatively quickly after it rose to prominence, it became a free-for-all on branding any man in power as a rapist. Aziz Ansari comes to mind as just some guy that got branded by it. Kavanaugh is another. Hell, the E Jean Caroll verdict is another recent example. How the fuck can you order someone to pay 82 million for an accusation for something that may or may not have happened 40 years ago with no proof.

Thats cause woke politics are the mainstream, again people with psychological problems or stupidly limited intelligence try to align themselves with the popular culture/politics of the time which is what this is. In the mid to late 2000s it wouldve been the atheism grifters, in the late 90s early 2000s it wouldve been the christcucks, in the early 90s late 80s it wouldve been the goths and faggots on and on. Politics change with time (Metal Gear said this 20 years ago) and philosophy which underlies politics is an eternal set of endlessly debatable viewpoints which will remain relevant till the end of civilization. In fact most of our current view points might as well have been talking points which existed in the Roman empire, the enlightenment, Judea and whatever other ancient civilizations existed. The problem is its a system where a bunch of manipulative elite fucks take top positions in the system and the retarded fucks remain retarded either cause of ignorance or low intelligence, the interplay between them fucks up society for the others in the middle. The actual components of that system may change, be it populist conservatism, religious conservatism, anarcho communism, libertarian socialism whatever but the system, that equation remains the same. Eventually the system will decay and descend into war or fascism after which it will rebuild itself again with a different ideological component, its not about the component its about the system and the psychology of the people involved. The blackpillers, alt right and communists will say the system is beyond redemption and people will never educate themselves enough to make competent decisions so "we the saviors of society must take power into our hands for the good of everybody". Im not at that point yet but it is looking pretty grim, at least Im doing my part by being self aware and educated enough. I just have to learn to be a positive polly now.
