Every trap you fap to is actually a trans women, also incredibly lazy editing.
It's two weeks old but it's such an awful misinformed video I wanted to bring attention to it.

Traps in anime are more analogous to drag queens than actual Trans people, you just think it's Trans because you're projecting your insecurities onto it. Stop being smug, I see right through you.

I'm going to be honest, for the longest time I just thought he was effeminate gay man. Well, depending on your perspective, he's an effeminate straight man.

The OP forgot the most hilarious part of the whole Goblin Slayer debacle. Prior to releasing that crappy video, Pedantic turned off the comments on his original Goblin Slayer video because he was getting roasted so hard, then went on Twitter and tried to spin hiding from criticism as some kind of victory for social justice. This was discussed in the Digibro thread prior to this thread's creation, so I'll just quote the relevant posts here:

Not sure how someone whose sole means of income is commenting on anime is ignorant of the fact that male characters who cross-dress for whatever reason have been a stable of anime since the 80s. While Japan obviously doesn't use the english term "trap," the roughly analogous term "otoko no ko," such as characters like Astolfo and Felix, pretty specifically refers to cross-dressing males, where as actual transsexuals are "newhalfs," an entirely distinct concept. Japan has a pretty big tradition of drag culture that's reflected in their media, and this person seems to be ignoring cultural context entirely for the purposes of wishful thinking and self-inserting as fictional characters.

He's actually not technically wrong on Felix/Ferris (at least in certain readings of the spinoff novel about Ferris) or Lily from ZLS. There are trans characters in anime, and trap is a western equivalent that isn't completely 1:1 with the japanese terms but the video is still shit for a multitude of reasons:

-Brings up the trans panic shit that has nothing to do with traps
-Cites Andrea "Look at that bois melon god damn" Ritsu
-Claims trap is a "mainstream" slur because David Duke once said "traps are gay" on twitter. Need I remind you David Duke has been irrelevant for longer than I've even been alive.
-Thinks the majority of people who will object to him saying to not say "trap" are transphobes
-That title is shitty click-bait cancer, and Here's Why
-More "yadda yadda, slurs to be reclaimed" which is all fine and dandy except it wasn't a slur anyway.
-The comments are a circlejerk

I won't disagree about Lily, Pedantic actually does have a point there, and there are other trans characters in otaku media, but they're definitely the exception and not the rule. Felix refers to himself as a boy pretty consistently in the Arc 3 and Arc 4 novels, and the scene in the prequel novel is one where he's trying to pass as a woman publicly for plot purposes which ends with him revealing himself to be a guy. Pedantic definitely took that scene out of context to try and prop up the false narrative that all otoko no ko characters are actually trans when that just isn't the case.

Addendum: I also found out recently that Andrea Ritsu was the one who originally spread that out of context quote from the Ex novel to claim Felix was trans, ignoring the entire context of the chapter it was from. So Pedantic is probably just parroting them without having read it for themselves.

I noticed that this exceptional individual, as well as other Youtube users that disagreed with his videos, exploits the algorritm of comments on Youtube by heart reacting all the positive comments in a way that all the negative criticism is buried on the bottom of the comment section. How lovely

He made an hour-long video about the anime that made him realize he's trans. I stumbled on this kid's videos before and I didn't even have any idea he was trying to pass as a woman, I'd rate his voice and looks as "you're not even trying". In the first 10 minutes he brags about making people realize they're trans too, claims society is "gaslighting" trans people. I can't say if there are any funny parts further down the line because I watched it for 10 minutes and then I realized it wasn't near to being over. And he's also doing the comment hearting on comments as old as 2-hours currently still, while the video is a week old, to tone out any dissenting opinion, just like the previous comment says.

You think that's bad checkout "her" "girlfriend" Zeria's videos. Zeria's entire schtick is either:

A. Talking about Yuri anime, because, truth is, these two are a bunch of heterosexual/bisexual men calling themselves "lesbians", but they couch their natural interest in girls "scissoring" in SJW-esque politics.
B. Reminding us all how fucking trans "she" is.

I probably lost all interest in Zeria when "she" tied her lack of interest into FLCL due to being trans. Seriously, he actually implied that he couldn't identify with the show because the central character was a boy. See for yourself:


Most of the damn video was Zeria talking about being trans rather than giving any real insight on the show and its relation to "herself".

I will never understand homo/bisexual men who identify as lesbian women while exclusively fucking trans identifying members of the same sex (vice versa for gay LARPing trans men who only have sex with other trans men). Zachary "Zinnia Jones" Antolak (he has a wife, but he neglects her and only seems to have sex with his boyfriend), Alex Vidal and now these two guys are all examples of this. What's wrong with just being a gay couple? Is autogynephilia really that much of a drug?

I was about to give him props for being consistent and not being one of those troons who thinks everyone should be open to date transwomen\transmen, but they wouldn't date one themselves.They want to date normal women and men, so they basically admit that dating troons is not the same as dating a cis person.

But if they're trying to grow their channel this way, they'll have to realize that the interest for "anime review, but from a trans perspective" is rather small.
 
New video on Princess Jellyfish. Not horrible, the themes of the show match up with a lot of what he likes so he's not exactly making stuff up or saying any horrible misinformation.
The only slightly comedic part is in the first 10 seconds when he jokingly claims that despite being attracted to 2D men he's true and honest lesbian.
