They say it's over. Do we trust?

I mean, every other time they’ve sad it’s winding down, La Palma’s told us to hold it’s beer.

If it goes quiet for 2 weeks I’d consider it. Damn cocktease volcano…

i meant it could pull a saint helens meaning it goes quiet and then boom

Yeah, I saw somewhere that volcanologists give it 10 days of nothing to say it's over so they can send people in and try to study it. A new vent popped up after I saw news stories said it was over. Either no one fucking knows, or there is a coverup type thing going on and things are way worse than they are letting us know.

I wouldn't be watching La Palma as closely as I am if there hadn't been so much downplay and censoring surrounding it.

Btw, the volcano stops and Greece has been getting earthquakes. Not saying it's connected, but every time that area got an EQ the volcano would slow down. Maybe the volcano was the steam valve but now the pot lid's gonna rattle.

since the volcano is likely over. i guess we can start posting stuff about cleanup and fixing efforts in La Palma. no doubt they still have a lot to fix. they also have to watch out for any mountainous rocks damaged by the earth quakes. because a particualrly bad rainy day and all that loosesned rock causess a land slide, killing many or at the very least causing massive property damage.

The eruption on La Palma has officially ended after 85 days and 8 hours.
On Christmas Day our love said goodbye to us.
The announcement was made on December 25 after authorities on the from PEVOLCA confirmed they had observed no lava flow, seismic activity or significant sulphur dioxide emissions from for 10 days. Source - http://archive.md/eQN2a

I have enjoyed commenting on the eruption in this thread with all of you, I hope that some volcano explodes soon somewhere. :heart-full:

Anyone made a compilation of the most beautiful lava footage yet?
The first videos are already appearing, this one has good footage:

Lava removal work has already begun in La Laguna. In this video you can see a crane working on it:
