It was extremely interesting that an Earthquake in Crete stopped our Volcano almost on the minute exactly

I am wondering what that means...I think it may mean a shitload more pressure for our volcano as the two are tied together somehow through a network of lava tubes.

If I am correct, this new pressure will start showing up in the next few hours...Magma moves pretty quickly. So that gives the island any moment now

Yeah The exact same moment it happened the volcano went silent
Is that a normal thing to happen? I'm guessing they're linked because that's one hell of a coincidence otherwise but...how does that happen?

Plates shift, lava falls in to hole caused by shift, earth quakes, spews up fresh lava?

That sounds interesting and Minoan pilled. Could be that the quake opened up new space for the lava to fill under Crete? It is a bit far away from the Canaries.

Lava tubes running 5,000 kilometers, under an ocean and the better part of a continent? I'm no geologist, but I'm gonna call doubt on that. There's been a lot of geological activity in general lately, round the world.

FYI You do realize some lava tubes run like 10,000KM..all the way up the core and around continents right? They split into a gorrillion smaller tubes but they are all essentially the same tube.

I speculated a relation because exactly to the minute our volcano stopped spewing lava.

Could you share some sauce on that, wise one?
I am genuinely interested. Most of the lava tube depictions I saw were mostly vertical stuff from the mantle.

I don't realize, that's why I called doubt. One of those things thats hard to conceptualize. I'll echo our shipgirl here, I'd love some sauce on that.

Simply the inhabitants of Inner Earth adjusting a pressure valve, nothing to worry about.

I wonder if enough lava will come up that it would destabilize the African tectonic plate? It might mean more earthquakes for northern Africa and the Middle East if so.

I'm torn on what is causing the volcanoes, gravity + fat people squeezing Earth's guts out or Illuminati living underground needing more room so they push some of the magma out for the surface dwellers to deal with.

Science!

The livestreams since nightfall have been pretty interesting to watch, it looks like a continuous fountain of lava at a (relatively) low height versus the sporadic bursts that went really sky-high. I'd think that means a lot more volume is being put out though.

Does anyone know when/if it will reach the ocean? The last updated graph I saw, it was about halfway there. This was the other day.

I heard about 6 hours, but that was quite a while ago. It seems to have slowed down since the second vent opened, though since the third opened it's hard to tell
