Kyle Rittenhouse: 'I support the BLM movement'

Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager who was acquitted of murder last week after shooting and killing two people in Kenosha, Wis., during civil unrest there last year, said he supports the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement.

"I’m not a racist person. I support the BLM movement," Rittenhouse said during an interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson, a portion of which is slated to air on Carlson's program on Monday evening.

"I support peacefully demonstrating," the teen told Carlson, according to a transcript of the interview. "I believe there needs to be change. I believe there’s a lot of prosecutorial misconduct, not just in my case but in other cases. It’s just amazing to see how much a prosecutor can take advantage of someone."

The jury on Friday found Rittenhouse not guilty of all five counts he faced, including intentional homicide, after defense attorneys argued Rittenhouse acted in self-defense when he shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26.

Rittenhouse also injured a third person during the shooting, which took place after the teen traveled with an AR-15 from his home in Illinois. He said he intended to help defend businesses in Kenosha that were under threat of being damaged during the unrest that followed the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man, earlier that summer.

The Rittenhouse verdict was widely celebrated over the weekend by conservatives, many of whom see his acquittal as a win for gun rights and self-defense laws nationwide. Many liberals have panned the verdict as setting a dangerous precedent about self-defense claims and the disparities in the criminal justice system for defendants based on race.

Several protests have broken out in cities nationwide following the verdict.

“The verdict speaks to the dramatic differences in perspective people have, based on racial background, about justice in our country,” civil rights attorney Shavar Jeffries told The Hill on Friday. “For many people of color, the idea that they could show up with an assault rifle at the site of a rally, kill people, and find themselves exonerated is something beyond comprehension.”

Rittenhouse, in the interview with Carlson, described the fear he said he felt during the confrontation that led to the shooting.

"I tell everybody there what happened," he said. "I said I had to do it. I was just attacked. I was dizzy. I was vomiting. I couldn’t breathe."

Rittenhouse broke down in tears on the stand as he testified during his own trial and collapsed when the verdict was read aloud by the jury foreperson on Friday.

"The jury reached the correct verdict," he said during a previously released portion of the interview with Carlson. "Self-defense is not illegal."

Does anyone remember that libertarians were out there “protecting” the rioters. Kyle wasn’t associated with booger boy bullshit but he had the same idea.

Misguided and naive, but anyone expecting a Boy Scout 17 year old to know better is either malicious or stupid.
During these riots, many libertarians sided with the acab crowd because of their anarchist principles. Liberals and libertarians perhaps don't believe in the same shit leftists do, but they would let them destroy everything because of their own beliefs.

Now, we should just let this kid alone. He either is saying this because he doesn't want more trouble or he is a normie thinking BLM are just antiracist people. I used to lean more left until my middle 20s, so I can't judge.

I've never met a libertarian that wasn't autistic, a criminal, pathologically self-interested, pathologically rules-oriented, or intent on fucking over his neighbors while somehow believing that magic words (muh NAP) would protect him when the power goes out and the cops aren't around anymore.

Yeah, if you were watching the videos that night a lot of the boogbois were saying stuff along the lines of 'we support you but please don't burn our stuff go bother the cops' at the rioters yelling and screaming at them trying to pick fights with them (people thought Kyle was one of the boogbois at first). Kyle was still willing to offer them medical aid even when they were reacting with nothing but hostility to him.

It was the same during the few Blue Lives rallies after Portland. Libertarians were shitting on them because they were siding with the ones who side with the enemy (the state).

There are undoubtedly people in BLM who are in fact just supporting the cause of lessening police brutality (against black people specifically)
We call those people ‘fucking idiots’.

In Chicago so far this year, there have been 16 shootings by police with 7 fatalities. In return there have been 14 police shot, too (fatality figures unavailable).

At the same time there have been 4143 shootings, with 726 fatalities, in Chicago alone. Does that sound to anyone as though police brutality should be the primary hot-button topic that the black community needs to engage with?

All these fuckwits spouting bullshit on social media crying that 17 year olds like Rittenhouse shouldn’t be legally able to own long-arms? Well people like him are far from the primary cause of death by firearm.

It’s niggers with illegal weapons that are the problem. Not cops, not the average black guy who paid attention in school and got a fucking job, not even literal Roman-saluting neo-nazis or sheet-wearing KKK nutjobs.

If niggers want to live in peace out from under the thumb of ‘white supremacy’, they need to show that they they’re capable of sharing our societal values, and that starts with not killing each other, or us.

What BLM calls ‘white supremacy’ is a bandaid over a bullet hole that’s barely stopping black society from bleeding to death, and they want the bandaid removed?

Maybe we should. With 50% or more of truculent, aggressive niggers bleeding out on the footpath between the ages of 12 and 42, maybe those shitty aggressive genes would get wiped out. And all the dorky awkward white incels would be able to get a Shaniqua to plow to keep themselves docile. Win-win.

And? I'm just glad the kid didn't get fucked over by the court.

Jesus, can we just let him get on with his life.

Honestly, if I was Kyle, I would've just declined the interview. Is obvious Fox News did it for clicks. Don't tell me that they care about Kyle one bit.
Tell me which news station in the country, excluding Fox News and Newsmax and OANN, are basically not calling for him to be murdered in a blatant manner and giving him an objective or fair shake at minimum.

And? I'm just glad the kid didn't get fucked over by the court.
Im glad he didn't take a plea deal because that is just cucking.

Kyle wasn't the important part any way. As much as I'm happy for him and hope he can get on with his life, the broader important part of the trial was defending the right to self defence. What Kyle does or doesn't believe doesn't really matter as his character was never the important aspect of the trial.

If anything this just confirms to me that the kid is as far from the cold blooded psycho the media wants to make him out as, he probably believes BLM care about black lives and systemic injustice

Prosecution for "normal" crime is pretty normal. This case was fucked from day 1 and the prosecutor was a moron.
HUGE X to doubt here. Considering most prosecutions end in a plea deal you have no way to know the prosecutor isn't pulling similar bullshit. The idea that this one random prosecutor with national attention on him just happened to choose this one case to be exceptional and break a bunch of ethical guidelines but other prosecutors w/o as much attention don't, doesn't pass any sort of sniff test prima facia.
Unless you want nothing but lynchings and heresay to be the norm, a functional court and legal system is necessary. Plus, Rittenhouse was aquitted
Nowhere in my post did I suggest I wanted otherwise. The current system needs to be reformed cuz what I just watched wasn't functional.

Pretty sure the head of the proud boys was talking on Tim Pool's show about wanting to work with BLM on criminal justice reform. Can't say how much BLM would want to work with them on that though.
