As much as I loathe Eichenwald, people who try to send him flashing gifs are sick fucks. Seizures aren't emergencies generally, but it's not really any different from going and beating the guy up.

However, when it happens, he needs to stop posting about it like he does, and screaming at the person who did it, because it only encourages them. Let the cops sort it out.

I don't really know that much about epilepsy, but I know that Eichenwald is exceptional beyond belief, meaning I know the incident in question didn't actually happen. However, regarding epilepsy, is that actually how it works? Can you just send a gif and make people fall to the floor and start having a seizure leading to death? It sounds pretty fantastical, but again, I'm extremely low knowledge when it comes to epilepsy.

There was a case a few years ago where someone hacked the Epilepsy Foundation's website and posted flashing images all over it. And yeah, a lot of people were hurt.

Seizures usually aren't emergencies , like I said, it's usually injuries sustained during a seizure. (Biting yourself, falling, bruising, etc.) They're not fun, though, and you'll feel like absolute shit afterwards.

That one dipshit is looking at serious time for it, and might end up doing serious time even if Eichenwald is completely lying about it, which I believe to be the case.

It's not only a mammoth douche move, it's seriously illegal to do it with the intention of causing physical harm.

That said, I think Eichenwald is a lying sack of shit and made all this up to get the guy in trouble.

Seizures *are* medical emergencies and can cause permanent brain damage.

Depends on the seizure. Short-term ones are not usually dangerous and aren't classified as emergencies. Ones that are longer than five minutes are, you have something like a 30% chance of dying from one. Around 20-30 minutes and you're completely fucked.

Yes I’m talking grand mal/tonic-clonic seizures. Anyway not something I would be messing with.

Once you hit the 6 hour mark or so, you start collecting and commissioning child porn.

He'd torrent his books thousands of times so he could post screenshots of the torrent page (curiously with only 1 seeder) and start bitching about pirates stealing thousands of dollars from him.
And the screenshot would feature another embarrassing tab in his browser. Circle of life.

The problem is that the way Twitter is designed normally makes these kinds of things impossible. In order for the gif to cause the seizures 1 of 2 things must have happened:

A: A man with epilepsy went into his Twitter settings and changed all the gifs to autoplay (which is something no sane person on Earth would ever do)
B: Kurt saw the gif that in big bold letters proclaimed "you deserve a seizure for your posts" and then willingly clicked on it.

So either Kurt is lying or he's a complete retard and neither option makes him come across very well. While jew_goldstein no doubt should be punished for sending the gif in the first place the only person to blame for Kurt actually being affected by it is Kurt. It's like if someone sends you a box with a hornet's nest in it so you stick your dick in it then a short time later you sue the person who sent it not just for mailing it but also for making your dick explode.

I think what actually occurred is that Kurt lied about being affected by the gif and filed the lawlsuit in order to try and curb and deter people from doing the same in the future (and also possibly to attention whore) but in doing so he comes across as a complete fucking retard and every time he opens his fat fucking mouth about the incident it just makes himself look even worse.

He did worse, he got the guy actually arrested and the guy is looking at serious time.

Flashing lights (fortunately, I don't have that issue!)

Note I said "usually". They LOOK scary, but most of the time, a person will be okay. You generally only have to worry if one lasts longer than 5 minutes (AKA, "status epilepticus") OR if there are any injuries sustained during said seizure.

Trust me, I know more about this than I care to. :( If anyone has any other questions, I'd be more than happy to answer them.

I don't really listen to audiobooks, but if I did, and I got one where the person just starts blubbering mid-sentence and sobbing, I'd shut it off, call whoever I bought it from and demand my money back. Sobbing because you're talking about something traumatic is sympathetic in private conversation, or perhaps even during a live speech depending on the circumstances. But a recording? That's just pathetic.

I do listen to audiobooks. In Jordan Petersen's 12 Rules for Life he is clearly tearing up when he is going through the medical difficulties his daughter faced when she was growing up. As JP is a likable man you can empathize with it's really touching listening to it. As Kurt is a deranged loon I think listening to him sobbing will be comedy gold.

Can't find a download link to the audio book, but here's a link to an epub https://rapidgator.net/file/455d48bd56134c6ea1d1ee692b7af534/SAnet.st.0399593624.epub.html

I'll post a link to the audiobook if I see one.

Also the only thing Kurt would cry about is himself, the narcissistic twat. Nobody cares about how his seizures forced him to write checks to child pornographers.

Ultimately that's the issue isn't it? An autobiography's one thing if you're going to talk about the important events you experienced or the other things in your life, but Kurt, you know it's just him talking about himself, period, on and on and on and on.
