I'm still amazed he thought that lie about tentacle porn was a BETTER alternative to the truth.

The truth was that he was looking at some shameful yet still pretty tame "vanilla" hentai. Had he just owned up to that, not only would it have been less embarrassing for him long term, he might have even gotten a mild bit of respect for it from the weeb crowd, ironically enough.

Instead, he tells a lie that is even worse sounding both in and out of context, when the truth was less embarrassing.

All he got from this is a ton of ridicule from both sides of the aisle, an even bigger reputation as a creep, and his credibility even further shot to hell.

He had an opportunity to admit that "okay hey I like cute girls who are BY THE WAY TOTALLY OF AGE."

Instead he somehow dug a deeper hole with tentacle porn.

You really expect him to take the easy way out and tell the truth? It'd wouldn't be as funny if he did that.

Sure it'd be less embarrassing than what it is now. But we've already established that Kurt's a magnet for self-inflicted controversy. And it's going to keep on coming unless he just quits the internet before even more irreparable damage hits him.
 
Y'know the funny (or fucked up) part of his "family watching tentacle porn" excuse is that there are almost assuredly hentai mangas that start just like that.
