Good Morning Motherfuckers!
As a Kson thread, I figured why not to go along with posting the going-ons with a favorite Dragon and absolute simp for Kazuma Kiryu, the Dragon of Dojima.
Kson
Kiryu Coco
She has two identites. Kson, an Indie prior to joining Vshojo's JP branch; and Kiryu Coco, a graduate of HololiveJP's 4th Generation.
Childhood up to College years
Her channel description said she is from Atlanta, Georgia but she was not actually born and raised there. She was rather born and raised in Dunwood, Georgia which was a suburb of Atlanta and became its own city in 2008. She is a Japanese-American and by her own admission, her dad would frequently move around (as would she) for work which would happen every two years. Now, something to note is that she has said as much that growing up, she was a sporty child and did soccer as well as gymnastics. In this time frame, her parents were very protective. She was not able to play vidya at this time (since it was perceived as games making someone stupid), nor watching anime. But by her admission, she did hide beneath her bed & read dragon ball as well as being a kid. Small tidbit here, but she also learned sewing from her mom. Fair enough. She could only watch these things in Highschool and beyond. For what got her into things back in college which, because she was so deprived of games and the likes, she would spend a lot on gaming. Of this time, she played with friends who did stream, and because of it, she would be inspired with streams. But, this I will get into detail in the next section.
Early career
Of course, Kson was not always a vtuber. Like some of the current day Vtubers, she started in flesh streams and other types of gameplays. In that alone, she would start on niconico Douga with her very first stream of SIREN: New Translation in 2017 which at the time was a big hit (even for her at this time). She was not too knowledgeable of YouTube at the time since nothing did interest her. So, she went with what she knew, Niconico. Of course, she would continue to play and stream, describing her Japanese as poor to her mostly Japanese audience. However, her first actual appearance as her business suit brought her to teaching her Japanese audience "Son of a Bitch!" among other words, which does become a trademark for her in the future (teaching her Japanese audience English phrases both as Coco and as Kson). In 2018, however, her first proper appearance was made on Niconico Toukaigi event in 2018 where the costume she wears would become a costume for her 3d in the future. However! things changed for her in 2018 with the debut of Akai Haato of Hololive's 1st Generation where she was inspired for vtubing. Now with her original 3D, there isn't many old livestreams available and the oldest stream is her Ark stream where she streamed from. At this time, she would call herself Ksonsouchou and stream as such. Now, what made her stand out even more was that while she did her stream, and I alluded to this earlier, she infact began her cosplays.
Kson's earliest 3D live avatar.
Kson herself in this era is largely not controversial but was slightly risque. In this infancy, Vtubing was not that well-known (after all, Kizuna Ai debuted only in 2016) and seeing as she had began her career then, she did not really know any one else in the Vtuber space especially given that in 2018, Hololive's Gen 1 would debut in June. But, when she did her cosplays, she would have various characters with two of the most famous being Bayonetta and a Senkoro character where she would be the representative for the game and also underwent an interview. Now in late 2018-early 2019, Coco would send her submission to Cover Corporation wanting to join Hololive as a manager. Except...
Hololive as Kiryu Coco (2019-2022)
From December 27th,2019 to January 4th, 2020, Generation 4 would debut. On the 27th, Amane Kanata would debut, December 28th, 2019, Kiryu Coco (AKA Kaichou) would debut, December 29th would be Tsunomaki Watame, January 3rd would see Tokoyami Towa, and January 4th would see Himemori Luna (a former Nijisanji JP member).
Influence on the other members
In this era, Coco was highly influential. Especially among several talents and even on some events:
Miko
She was an inspiration to Sakura Miko while Miko was still trying to find herself, with a great relationship between the pair. For some Kino clips between them, I recommend these two:
Full conversation of ELITE English and Coco
Coco teaches Miko how to say "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU LOOKING AT?"
Miko of course still remembers Coco and does seem to love her a great deal with a cameo being made during Flower Rhapsody's AMV where a dragon can be seen in the sky during the section of Ark which Coco had a hand in as the organizer of the first ARK event.
Kanata
Kanata during 2020 was infact her roommate as they moved into an apartment together. It is very well known and documented that Coco and Kanata were very close at this time and frequently would collaborate together and even suggestions that both of them were consistently confiding in one another.
AsaCoco Mornings
AsaCoco Mornings was a morning show that Coco would do, frequently doing meme reviews on reddit (which inspired some of the talents to make their own reddit accounts to interact with fans more) with other members, as well as announcements and the going ons with various members. But another thing she did was commercials for an imaginary product called Asacoco which frequently would involve other members. Some examples include, but are not limited to, AsaCoco Chips (Watame was involved), Plug-in Type Asacoco (which was literally a butt plugs & also had Marine involved with this one), and a few other examples. This was naturally something that came with the "Coco Line" where she would frequently test the limits of what a Vtuber could say/do.
She also suggested a Holohouse so that they could at least be able to provide more ability for talents to meet up and do off-collabs whilst allowing ease of access between managers and talents. Kind of reminiscent to the clubhouses like Team Ten (or whatever the fuck Jake Paul had) if that makes sense. But, her other biggest contributions was a couple new branch ideas. Indonesia and English.
HololiveEN
Without Coco, there would not have been HoloEN as soon as it was introduced. At the time of Pre-Myth, Vtubing was largely unknown to the American and European audiences. For most, it was largely among a very small section of Weebs and largely something that was limited overall to the niches of the internet. Obviously you have farmers right now who are not that keen about Vtubers, others who weren't keen back in 2020 BUT are fans now/tolerant of it now (with exceptions of course).
But when Myth debuted, the main girl who helped bridge the gap between the JP branch and the EN Branch was infact Coco.
Taiwan Incident
2020, in September. Coco streamed with Akai Haato and when they revealed their analytics, God forbid YT listed Taiwan as a country. Because of this exposure of Taiwan, several Chinamen would attack Coco and Haato, mass reporting her and getting her temporarily suspended which had forced Coco to post videos of Asacoco mornings rather than do her usual livestreams.
While maybe this would be the end of things, the harassment did continue and brought things to the point that in order to protect herself, Coco would go on a temporary 1 Month Hiatus which she came back from. But despite this, Chinese Antis would continue their campaign against Hololive and especially effecting the China branch. Sadly, as a result of this incident, it caused Hololive China to be disbanded and on June 9th, 2021, Coco announced she would leave Hololive on July 9th. This was a massive event at the time which was perhaps the first high-level graduation due to how influential and popular Coco was.
Graduation
Her graduation was very sad, seeing talents normally very happy and joyful now depressed with seeing their friend leave. Now, of course, I will be sharing what her genmates wrote to her and of course said out loud:
Watame: "Thanks to you, Coco, I can stand here-- well, I'm sitting but-- I can stand here without faltering. I can say this with full confidence!"
Luna: she endearingly drew a picture for Coco that said "大スキココちゃ" (I love you, Cococha/Wuv you, Cococha). Luna also drew Coco's face, Kanata's star shaped-metallic halo, Towa's hat "Bibi", Watame's ram horn, and Luna's princess crown.
Towa: "The 4th Generation may look like it has four members from now on, but there will always be five of us, and I will continue to work hard as one of them," which followed her crying and silencing the room.
As for Kanata? She acted as though they were an old married couple: "I've seen you putting on a brave face and pretending everything was fine during the hard times, when in reality you were worrying about it alone. I've seen you bring prosperity to hololive. And I'll never forget any of that! You did a really, really good job! I love you more than anyone! KanaCoco is forever! Let's keep it going!"
Her graduation stream has a lot of moments. So I will provide the timestamp to when she starts to speak to all the girls in hololive to that point. Friendly warning. It goes up to about 1:31:01 which is followed by her last concert. This stream had a total of 491,342 Concurrent viewers which was, at the time, one of the largest streams for Hololive history with, if my memory is correct, was only broken recently with Gawr Gura's graduation. Coco's final livestream set an all-time Superchat revenue record with over $300K+ USD in final revenues. So! Considering rumored hololive's rule about giving all revenues from final livestreams to its respective retiring talents (after YouTube's ~30% tax), it could be said Coco got a final revenue about $200K USD net earnings, setting also an all-time record for a VTuber (no clue with Gura here).
Post-Coco (2022-now)
Of course, if you paid attention earlier, you would know that Kanata lived with Coco. She would move out in 2022 of her own accord, and they still do remain friends to this day. Kanata likely moved out to avoid potential problems (since she is a graduated member and if she were to cause some commotion, then it may be a problem). But, it is very well known that she still did talk to various members including Haachama (Akai Haato) to which, in July she would have helped her come back from the hiatus. In terms of other mems? She did infact meet with Towa 3 years after her graduation alongside Aki Rosenthal, Shirogane Noel, and Shirakami Fubuki. She also is known to regularly speak with Yuzuki Choco (aka Guutara ) and of course, Demondice Karen (Mori), which does include various streams together (and vlogs). Something to note is that she is friends with some of Nijisanji JP but is banned from Nijisanji/ collabs with Nijisanji talents because of the Taiwan incident. But because Nijisanji is a company run by a faggot, that is fine.
So. What was a former Kaichou to do after she graduated? Well. She was well established prior as Kson, and thus would come back. But this time, she came back as an independent Vtuber. She would of course do her own thing including her own version of Asacoco called "Good Morning My Fans" and another shitposting show which did fairly well. Over time, she would do regular streams with Projekt Melody, becoming one of the founding members of Vshojo on July 2nd, 2022 at Anime Expo. She would redebut side by side with Amemiya Nazuna (Mikeneko aka Uruha Rushia), bringing Rushia with her to Vshojo. Of course, she isn't the only one to be brought on by Kson as it is within good reason to believe that she also is the one who brought in Amano Pikamee into Vshojo (as Henya the Genius) after the Hogwarts incident.
In terms of events? She did have a very unique appearance as her avatar for a cosplay at Nijigen Expo in Malaysia back in 2023 in celebration of her newfound role in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name as a hostess, while a bartender with her voice and likeness called Kei appears in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
Now a nice, neat little detail about Kson is that she thoroughly LOVES Yakuza. In particular, she is in love with Kazuma Kiryu (part of why she was KIRYU coco). She was able to meet his VA in person.
Also a not so neat detail is that in 2024, she got a brand with TENGA which is a sextoy company. Which is uh.. see for yourself.
So now, the question remains about Kson today. Where is she now in 2025? Well! She got banned for a few days for a game that was showing genitals on accident and well. This is what got her a 3 day ban
She may be a freak with that Tenga collab, but god damn is this funny-ish to see.
As a Kson thread, I figured why not to go along with posting the going-ons with a favorite Dragon and absolute simp for Kazuma Kiryu, the Dragon of Dojima.
