So backup mode still deploys it as a liveCD? I was wondering that, since I have logon scripts for kiwi that need to carry over.Link in case;
Pinguy Builder – An App to Backup/Remix *buntu | Pinguy OS
Decided to share my fork of remastersys. This is the script used to build Pinguy OS. The script can create a livecd of the installed system and works withpinguyos.com
You might want to use the backup mode to make sure all custom changes are saved, but if you do that, strain the home folder with a fine tooth comb first, all contents of the /home folder get copied, even temp files and other unneeded junk.

Edit: At a grand total of 331MB of RAM used. Gonna let conky run a while and make sure it doesn't have any memory leaks.
Yeah, it's already kiwi/kiwiYou have to include a user name and password if you use the backup option, it makes an in situ copy of everything exactly as it appeared on the OS.
I'd make it something easy like "kiwi" for both, so people can change it later.
You could host it on the Kiwi Farms git server:Yeah, it's already kiwi/kiwi
I'm running the backup now, /home/ is at a whopping 33MB. I'll start a github repo or something for it so we can provide actual version control once I get the ISO.

For debian distros, I always felt Ubuntu was a user-friendly distro that managed to not be as user-friendly as Mint. Never really saw what the big deal with it was.

White theme only, I'm afraid.does it have a custom kiwi farms background and color scheme?
I'm pushing out a kf branded livecd, eta is tomorrow because generating a squashfs takes ages. GRUB menu, xfce themes, lightdm greeter, bootstrap splash, the works. Also a widget that rotates some quotes from random_text. Pictures are earlier in the thread.White theme only, I'm afraid.
If Kiwi Farms isn't the default homepage, I'm going to be severely pissed off.I'm pushing out a kf branded livecd, eta is tomorrow because generating a squashfs takes ages. Done. When you test it, see if you're able to open the OS installer. It seems to do nothing for me.Will check this out later.
In the meantime, might want to add the metadata tags I did on my original release, if only to make it easier to find later for people.
