I searched and didn't find any previous discussion of this issue, so:
My sole grievance is that we don't have some kind of domain-agnostic solution for internal links. People should be able to link to other posts or threads on KF in a way that matches whatever domain (or onion service) the page is being served on.
Given the speed at which we're going through domains lately, manually editing URLs (either to avoid having to log in again or because they're dead) has been a real pain.
(This isn't too bad browsing from Tor, because you can configure the Tor Browser to redirect to the corresponding onion service from every clearnet site. But that doesn't work on dead URLs, or when the clearnet is up but the onion service is down.)
I'm sure it's technically possible to insert special handling for internal links in the BBCode-to-HTML renderer; I'm not sure it's worth the effort at the moment... but it would be really nice to have.
