A canceled project I was working on back in 2019.

Band Name: SunSayBye
Album: SunshineVR
Chronology: Debut Album
Tracks Started Before Cancelation: 4
The concept revolved around different topics that were popular at the time such as VR and dystopian narratives that were doing a comeback. The album was supposed to be a mix of lofi, vaporwave and dark 80's electro (using various VSTs to twist normal synths into a more corrupted variant).

The general theme would be what if the most powerful tech company in the world managed to create a virtual reality where you would be completely disconnected from reality, the other side being as close to your vision of heaven as possible?

The start of the album would take place at the very end of this dystopia. Years after the collapse of civilization. The listener would be placed in the role of someone who is wounded and close to death, there is no saving you, so in your last hours before death your girlfriend who does not have the stomach to end your life, gives a sad smile and puts the headset on you so you don't have to suffer. The songs would take the listener through what connecting to an electronic heaven would be like while you are slowly dying on a cold concrete floor in a dilapidated building and connected only by a slow and unstable WIFI connection.
Track 1: Synthetic Afterlife (Status: Draft 6, Mix 3, Master 0, Unfinished)

Track 2: Running On Streetlights With My Fingers (Status: Draft 5, Mix 3, Master 1, Finished)

Track 3: Driving Against Traffic With No Headlights (Status: Draft 3, Mix 1, Master 0, Unfinished)

Track 4: Falling Asleep Watching Sci-fi With A 101 Degree Fever (Interlude) (Status: Draft 4, Mix 2, Master 0, Unfinished)

Just out of curiosity, is any of you musicians on this forum gun-ho enough to start some sort of music project like an entire album made by KiwiFarm users that can be posted online?

I've been stewing this idea for a bit. It would be nice to show people that this site isn't strictly a "laughing at people" site and that there are genuinely talented people that can make good stuff.

The songs themselves wouldn't have to be lolcow related either, they could be about any genre or subject you want.

Not mine, but I've been holding on to this Tekken/gachi Infinite Azure mashup another Kiwi made back in 2018

Had an idea for a remix/mashup like a week ago, so I decided to work on it for a few days and this is the results. It's the lyrics from The Offsprings' "All I Want" (a.k.a. that song from Crazy Taxi) and the instruments/samples from NOMA's "Brainpower" (which has made a few music game appearances such as Groove Coaster) but arranged in a way that resembles/matches-with All I Want while still showing respect for Brainpower.

Apparently the BPM for All I Want is SUPPOSED to be 173, but because they constantly sing out of BPM, it fluctuates to where it's slightly noticeable. Rather than try to make the lyrics be at a constant 170 (which is Brainpower's BPM) I decided to just do my best estimated guess as to when the BPM rises and lowers so that the lyrical pattern match the drumbeats. I also tried my best to make sure the audio doesn't peak without making the song really quiet. I hate audio peaks, and new songs do this constantly. The Super Saw sample was the only sample I DIDN'T use because it was missing a specific minor key, so luckily LMMS has something similar so I used that instead to recreate Brainpower's Super Saw with the missing minor key that I needed.

WAV and MP3 file added as attachment.

Made a shitty ""song"" in Logic. It's just shitty midi drums, a pitched down guitar for "bass" and horrible guitar playing. Repeat for 40 seconds. I'm trying to work on even recording shit at all.

Not bad, it was consistent. What DAW are you using

I might try that sometime. I'm just more used to Logic at this point.
I'm still learning a bunch of stuff like mixing and mastering. There's a whole lot of functions that I don't even touch because I don't know what they mean. I just like to play music, I'm definitely not a producer.

Fucked around again. Was really bored so I tried making a song with soundfonts in it.
Also a shit ton of guitar multitracking.

Looks like you're getting the hang of it. The drums remind me of the Sega Genesis, very crunchy. Good punk progression.
I'm thinking of starting a one man band named "The Maxwell Carter Experience" or some other name. Should I just release the stuff only on the Farms or should I crosspost that shit to Bandcamp or some other place (even though its INFESTED with troons)

Don't use a name that will tie you back to the Farms. We have a lot of enemies, and they'd love to get a hold of any members dox. Use a different alias.
