As long as you are funny. Is griefing allowed if it's in character? For example, can a scientist go insane and start dissecting people? Or injecting them with chemicals? Or do you need to be an antagonist to kill anyone for any reason?
Is destroying infrastucture ban worthy if you are not an antagonist?
total mapper enslavement

TBH tots being too scared to do anything substantial (until the shuttle is called at least) or straight up forgetting/missing the fact that they've rolled a special role has been a thing since forever. Some newbies just stress over antagonising actions too much because they're afraid of fumbling it and getting caught (even doe doing a shit job and dying trying is literally a part of game experience for every job and role).Honestly though the main issue in practice is the ss13 playerbase is so raped now they rarely ever dare to do anything. Like far from over the top griefing, I'm having to put in timed implants that kill traitors who don't do their objectives. Its kindof weird but times have changed and we must adapt.
Maybe you could make a real camera system? I've never seen the security cameras do anything in any ss13 server. Do they actually record anything? My current intent is to rekerjigger game mechanics to make sabotage more difficult
holy shit. Actually making a game instead of writing a bunch of rules like a retard who can't code????? UNHEARD OF in multiplayer role play games. My current intent is to rekerjigger game mechanics to make sabotage more difficult over having an 800 page wiki article elaborating on the rules, IE actually do a good job of game design instead of trying to force the desired gameplay flow by banning people for playing wrong.

They don't record anything; I think it would be too laggy for them to do so. At best, you could make them take a picture every 30 seconds. And store those pics on a special menu.Maybe you could make a real camera system? I've never seen the security cameras do anything in any ss13 server. Do they actually record anything?
Yeah i always get a hankering to do a quick sesh during the work week and up just asteroid mining or playing with the WIP physics on station so I know what i will get fucked over by on Saturday.I would like to do a second official but secondary session sometime during the week, maybe Friday. Sucks to have only one per week imo
Amogus has cameras that record everything in real time, it cannot be that resource intensive. They don't record anything; I think it would be too laggy for them to do so. At best, you could make them take a picture every 30 seconds. And store those pics on a special menu.

I think the AI already makes things difficult enough for bad guys when it comes to cameras.Amogus has cameras that record everything in real time, it cannot be that resource intensive.
Yeah I saw that, I was thinking in my spare time(ie for free) inbetween my other random art thingies I should make a separate free-to-use casual banner for sponsoring so the (live now) banner doesn't get molested, I will probably do it in the same format 1280x250px.@Jotch thank you for sponsoring but please do not use the 'live' banner when we are not live
We've been consistently 15-20 the past couple sessions. Rarely have anyone on outside of the event. What's the pop average? And is it mostly eu or amerimutt hour server? I don't know whether to get byond client for this or not
if you join as a nigger i may join as a clown named "TOTAL NIGGER DEATH" and attack you, be prepared for that (or for a Hitler to shoot you on sight)Is griefing allowed if it's in character? There's an option in the top-right corner to open the station map with the cameras marked on it, it was working before however it's currently broken because no station map and no camera icons will appear when you open it. That getting fixed would improve the experience susbtantially, along with the camera's PoV being actually INSIDE the computer window and not just grabbing your character's PoV and teleporting it to the camera in the primary game window.oh yeah Is it possible we could ever fix the security camera monitor? I find the ocean of choices for cameras to view to be utterly chaotic and some times hard to navigate key areas in a graceful fashion, is it possible it can be fixed via re-organizing it in a drop down menu fashion? So like Arrivals, Security, Engineering, Science, Central, Dorms etc and you can click on one of these to open a list of cameras in that area to view things and close the drop down to look at another list if you so wish since the current system for the monitor feels very messy. Or is there any old code restraints that makes this untenable?
