You just reminded me of a very old manga I read as a teenager called Kill Me Kiss Me. It was about this girl that decides to dress up as a boy and go to an all boy school to get close to some celebrity she has a crush on. While there, she ends up getting bullied and beat up by this one guy. He thinks she's a weak gay guy or something. Anyway, he ends up falling in love with the new "boy", only to find out "he" was a woman all along.

I completely forgot all about this series until now.

I looked it up, and good lord! The art is way uglier than I remember!

Anyway, it's kind of funny to think about this gender bending genre, and how modern day troonism has pretty much ruined it. Now instead of thinking your new class mate is a masculine woman/feminine guy, you would automatically assume it's a troon and be weirded out. Also, I'm sure modern day troonism would deem this genre transphobic.

Did you also pick it up at the school library like me?

I'm actually not sure. I saw my best friend reading at the time and she let me read it. I'm not sure where she got it, but maybe she did get it from there. Either way, I re-read some of it last night online and it's so cringy, but I loved it as a teen haha.

I did too, because I was a hard core Tom boy and just loved the idea of the book. I haven’t reread it, and now I won’t to save the good memories. I did that with another Korean comic called Faeries Landing. The art was definitely not as good as I remember so I decided not to go back and reread.
