My assumption is that it was just the money in that all the paypigs were loyal to Andy. A bunch of them have been paypig relationships Andy tended for years across different shows and Metokur Masochist based on his social media presence was infatuated with Andy in particular. There's a lot of Andy simping, but he doesn't really defend PPP as much except in the context of defending the show in general.
I would say this: the non-paypigs view PPP as the star of the show, the very small number of super-paypigs view Andy as the star.
I think it’s the fact that ppp isn’t the one having these extreme parasocial relationships. When a paypig donates and Andy is the one offering a discord link to “hang out”, those paypigs are now Andys. Vegas clearly changed everything but previously Ashton preached against everything he now does. Andy has always been the type to do meetups, private trooncords, e-friends, etc.

There's an objective way to look at this. Type in "Kino Casino" into Google. 3 of the suggested search terms refer to PPP, 0 refer to Andy.
Same with DDG. PPP comes up as a suggestion, Andy doesn't.

There is a narrative that Andy Warski has all the paypigs and is the real draw to the show. And that PPP would be broke with nothing if they split. While there is some truth to this—Andy has been around for over a decade on Youtube and had many phases, eventually building up 227K subs on his Youtube channel before deletion—he is also a fallen star. He is plagued by scandals and a bad reputation. He is not some massive draw anymore regardless. The people that push this are Ashton alogs and are usually people that think building Andy up is the best way to spite Asston. People like Earwinson, Perspicacity, and Squire say "Andy has all the power, controls the money, and would win all the paypigs" because they are just trying to spite PPP. But let's look at Andy's last show called Twisted Minds with Kyler. Nobody watched that and few people paid money to superchat it. It was a total and complete failure by any metric. So where is this big pulling power from Warski back then? Where were the giant superchat donations? Why didn't this show continue forever if it was so successful? Answer: Because Andy is not some massive superstar with tons of support. He's a trend-chaser who rode the algorithm for years and threw enough crap at the wall and failed enough times that some of the crap stuck to the wall for a while before sliding off. But it's true Warski has been around a lot longer than PPP, who burst onto the scene back in 2018 when he showed his anus and only became a somewhat-known figure when they started Kino Casino. Andy has been around since 2007.

It is true though, we aren’t saying Andy could be successful on his own without PPP and that he’s the star, but the truth, which has been scientifically tested, is that PPP CAN NOT survive without Andy either.
All the mega donors like MM or Psycho are Andy's para-social paypigs. The people who throw a few subs every now or then are likely PPP fans.

It's probably just a generational thing. A lot of these top donaters are childless terminally online Gooners, they are socially awkward and cannot communicate without Discord involved. They're paying for a friend, that's the only socialisation they get.
This is the same guy who only recently tried using a mouse and keyboard to game with, and was surprised and raved about how he was able to land shots in CoD with such accuracy.
Everyone I’ve investgated so far are people 100% connected to warski outside of just paypigging. (Andy follows them, long history of interactions, private steam friends list, etc). I’ve avoided going into a full paypig war but if there’s anything about these lesser paypigs that would indicate Andy is “friends” with them then I’ll definitely take a look.
