warski as the co-host is a weak point of the show.
  • his stuttering is a problem because it breaks up the flow/momentum of the show (that is the reason why warski doesn't read the superchats anymore). i know it is a mean thing to say but the show suffers from the stuttering. if warski did not stutter, then the show would be 30% better.
  • also, a lot of insights from warski is just repeated things that ppp already have said, 5 mins ago.
  • both of them tend to talk over one another. they have been doing this show for over 2 years now, and they still don't have on-air chemistry? all of the good radio/podcast shows typically have a good back and forth between the co-host.
  • when ppp is lit up on rant, warski tends to interrupt ppp with a retard comment that does not contribute with rant. it is almost as if warski is jealous of ppp's rant and wants to one up him. this goes back to on-air chemistry, if your co-host is cooking up on a rant, let him cook.
warski works best as a show producer. he is good at booking guest and a lot of behind the scene logistics for a show to work. on-the-air, if warski can chime in on the show in limited capacity, the kino casino would greatly improve.

ppp is an entertaining and charismatic showman, but he is not a good storyteller. ppp is an "and then" storyteller instead of a "but or therefore" storyteller. so when ppp tells a story, it tends to be a series of scenes without any through line connection the narrative. for example, when he and warski was on the alex stein show, they tried to talk about the sektur and nothing made any sense if you were unfamiliar with the sektur. the other example was the mutahar guest appearance on the casino. ppp gave a linear scene by scene about rekieta but did really explain the why with rekeita's story and why it was worth telling.

if the kino casino got a co-host who can steer ppp in a linear coherent path, who can bounce commentary and ideas that complement ppp, instead of having repeating what ppp said, the show would greatly improve.

ironically, ppp's best co-host, to date, was godwinson. listen to their past streams, the flow of the show was smooth and coherent and they told a story that is digestible to an audience that has no clue what or who the subject matter was. i am not suggesting ppp should get godwinson as a co-host. that would be suicide because godwinson is a psychopath that would knife ppp, and the kino casino show, in the back as soon as godwinson gets the chance.

tl;dr: to improve the show, ppp should have a new cohost who can tard wrangle him in terms of focusing on the subject matter and warski should be the show producer and chime in on occasion.

If you're interested in DBDR, check out this thread. These amarna guys have been fascinated with him for close to 2 years, and there's some good lore summaries and funny moments catalogued.

Also, I would probably stop watching the show instantly if Warski was removed. It's true that it would technically improve the show and someone else could tell a story better, but without Tardski's energy and honest reactions Kino Casino wouldn't have any of its charm. It'll just be another drama report livestream except with one guy randomly sperging about the bible. The show currently feels like a Fry and Laurie duo except Warski's character is authentic.

I actually think this is intentional and part of their show format. I think PPP said "there's no ball-passing" when criticizing another show. Passing the Ball is an improv technique where you take what your partner said and support it. It's very obvious when you start paying attention to their exchanges.

1: "This guy's a bum!"

2: "He's a homeless CRACK-HEAD!"

1: "He lives in a tent filled with used needles there buddy."

2: "He pisses himself while p-p-passed out in a fucking DITCH."

etc

It's actually very fun to watch how they work this technique into their show imo. Also, they HATE dead air, and rightly so. This technique helps prevent that. Although, I agree with you that it goes on for too long and drags out segments for longer than they need to be. They seem to be aware of it as well, because they bring it up often.

I agree with you on this one. Although I'm not sure about the reasoning. It feels to me like Warski just doesn't understand that his co-host is off on a fire and brimstone rant, and this is the one time he's supposed to actually let dead air happen. Or you could be right, I'm not sure.

I agree with this one as well. When PPP was trying to bring Mutahar up to speed on Rekieta, he was absolutely floundering. It's like when Josh gets little details wrong, except they're not unimportant little details, they're entire chunks of information about the why and how. Granted, it did feel like PPP was caught off guard by the question and didn't have notes prepared (he did for everything else), but it posed a big problem for that show.

Overall, I think they should keep honing their skills rather than make big changes to the format.
 
Has anyone else noticed PPP's habit of putting the stress on the wrong syllable when he gets worked up? E.g. "Riley's micro pe-NIS", "ReviewTechUSA's girl-FRIEND". Is this a Canadian thing or some sort of mild speech pathology?

Andy acts as PPP's hype man essentially. His timing used to not be so great though which may be why he's grown less annoying to me over time, because his timing has improved and he interrupts PPP unnecessarily less often.

He may be French Canadian? Because the inflection sounds not dissimilar to JF's way of pronouncing words with his accent. I assumed that was the reason.

There's a method to the madness, you don't want dead air but having some silence can increase the impact of what you say. If you watched some of the old PPP stuff he would sometimes not talk for 45 seconds but it has way more impact than if he kept talking.

No it's just his oratory autism coming through, he talks with a normal English Canadian accent. A lot of his speech mannerisms are borrowed from people around him or people he watches online.

Counter-argument:
  • Warski provides an asset to do stunts for subs, read chat and relays it to relevant parts of the show because chat is VERY funny and including the audience is a good move marketing wise.
  • He usually now asks before he interrupts to ensure they don't fall over one another.
  • He generally keeps the HYPE going because he has more energy than PPP and is "bouncier" which compliments PPP's Yagrum Bagarn posture despite his vocal excitement. He keeps the show popping in a way no one else can.
  • his stutter is cute and a charm point
  • has cute kittens (they are also co hosts)
  • his "tard" antics are endearing, wholesome, and comical. I almost fell out of my chair laughing at him retelling a story of running into a wall wearing a VR headset because it forgot it wasn't real life
  • You are a filthy bum for insinuating Warski isn't the strong point of the show.

I laughed really fucking hard when Warski brought up how Jesse from Podawful spoke to him and talked to him about how he believes that Nick's habit of punching himself in the head when he's frustrated must've happened so much that he punched himself bald.

I agree with @Meiwaku 100%

I've mulled over the idea of different co-hosts for PPP. Warski always ends up being the best choice as the balance is all there to contrast PPP's speed, intelligence and wit. I just can't see anyone else filling the spot to make the chemistry work.
 
I complained about Andy earlier in the thread and do stand by those complaints, they were based on watching old streams to play catchup. He's not nearly as annoying recently. Dialing down the earrape screaming was helpful.
