The answer to severe drop off in viewers isn’t to slap a paywall on it.
The thing is there were feeding the viewers promises for close to year now.
"We will diversify", "No more 144p", "Actuall high effort premade content", "Rotation of the jokers", "Third chair". A none of it came to be. The audience got 1, fucking 1 prerecorded project and unedited reaction streams on gumroad.
I might be going full schizo, but if they were actually putting in effort and acting on promises made, they might have gotten that gumroad sub-base that they crave so much. The show did not start from a point of viewer resentment, quite the opposite.

't want to keep brining up the same example, but 2015-2017 DPP should have been their refernce point. Same inbred white trash retards (but 3-4 instead of 2), same lolcow focus (but it was Brett Keane instead of the Gunt), but actual commitment and a
semblance of professionalism is what allowed that show to get interviews, get sponsors and hold the status of one of the main semi-political podcasts for a good year - year and a half,
while having paywalled elements. It is crazy that in both premise and style the shows are
nearly identical, but the Casino is miles and miles behind in execution. I guess TJ
"balls-in-boiling-oil" Kirk had better business sense than PPP, the more you know.
