I’ve seen the strategy of ignoring controversy work before. Sometimes an audience gets riled up over nothing and it does more harm than good to give it air. However, this one is a serious concern to their audience and the longer they ignore things, the worse it looks. They should’ve come out initially and apologized or explained that they were given bad information or whatever. And most of the audience is in open revolt at this point. For them to charge on ahead tonight without acknowledging that fact is not only stupid, it’s cowardly. I’m certain they’ll only make vague statements about how people are seething.
