I originally thought it was because Andy’s broken brain had a sneed to be “stimming” in an audio-related way; if you look at older Kino Casino clips from this past winter or earlier this year, he’s spamming the FUCK out of that soundboard. After Andy moved out of the PPPalace and the show was done with both hosts in separate locations, the sound board fell by the wayside. Supposedly something about how he lost all the files for the soundboard drops in the move.

But nowadays he isn’t really using the soundboard as often, maybe he’ll do a “BUT WHAT ABOUT THE CHIIIIILD PORN” drop once every other episode, or an EVS saying “gaslit by Andy Warski” once in a blue moon. Only now, he’s clapping almost as often as when he’d do a soundboard drop. Just replace “n-n-negative clap…” with “LETS GO FELTED ETCETERA”, “THIS IS A CRY FOR HELP.”, “BUT WHAT ABOUT THE CHIIIIIIILD PORN”, or the soundbite of Daddy Gym laughing.

But if the PPPreacher has decided to shift the show to “I’m basically like a pastor on a sermon rant and you’re my hype man” then it would also make sense why Warski became Clapski.

If I recall correctly, it also coincided with heavily covering ReviewTechUSA, who overused his own soundboard to a retarded degree. Seeing the overuse of RTU's soundboard contributed to a pause in the use of Andy's soundboard, which something Andy said at least once on a stream.

Accurate. They both admitted to the soundboard being an annoying crutch for many shows and that they came to this inevitable conclusion upon watching RTU.

Personally glad for their success. Objectively speaking, hard work pays off and that's evidenced here as well as individually. Ashton needs to monetize the weightloss though; that's probably his best bet.

I'm sure they read the thread. Get Jesse from PodAwful or ideally Jamie Lynn Hughes. Fuck a Doug Tenaple. Bury these clowns.
 
What I can honestly compliment the show for is that, for all their hiccups, both Andy and Ashton are clearly constantly seeking to improve their content and draw in new audiences. Both seem to understand that stagnation is the death of any podcast.

I remember during the Kumite I think it was Failure started spamming "VIVA LA RAZA" with his till he was given shit, I think it was Tonka or Jim. Fast forward to the Killstream and Gator was abusing it. I might not be remembering this correctly but I think during one of Jim's streams before his hiatus, he made a joke about Gator using the soundboard. Coincidentally Gator stopped using it right after the joke and he was getting dunked on for listening to Daddy Jim.

PPP likely wasn't as annoyed with the soundboard because after a months of doing the show he can probably adjust his timing to it. That soundboard during an interview with someone like Mutahar who doesn't regularly watch the show will make it awkward because they don't know the lore of "BUT WHAT ABOUT THE...". That'll create one more barrier into the show which will hurt outreach to other communities. They doing good with the YouTube clips and I think having the censored clips up on YouTube will help in the long-term.

Redbar's the only one I've listened to who gets the soundboard right. He uses a boom that verbally underlines what he's saying but it's quick, tuned to where it's not obnoxious, and it breaks up what he's saying.

Excuse me what? All of the redbar clips I’ve seen on YouTube, he will sometimes get to the point where he plays the car crash drop 4-5 times in 60 seconds.

Jules is his wife, she's also the producer. She speaks a lot while adding nothing of value. Redbar has a thread but it's 2-3 people writing novels about how much they hate him multiple times a day.
