Kingdom Come Deliverance - Or how I stopped worrying about SJW and love Bohemia | Now with betrayal and a lot more niggers. "Historically accurate." BlackRock ruined the series.

First or second game? The combat system is definitely eh but at the beginning of the game. Not only do you suck (we all do) but so does Henry. You both improve greatly over the hours and it feels great to master strike someone in good armor into oblivion.
The second game removed a lot of the depth in combat and makes using weapons other than a sword boring and unviable.
Mace and Axe were already very simple in terms of combos. The former mostly just being good to continually swing down hard towards their head until they run out of stamina.

"It was my idea, my decision and my responsibility and I had to convince others to do it."
so he just openly admits that all the woke shit in the game is 100% on him, the rest of the studio wanted to make a based medieval game and he alone demanded gay woke shit be pushed.
They make it really hard to not hate them.

This makes WAB sucking Vavra's dick that much funnier. Looks like KCD2 couldn't survive the 80s either if there is this much cope surrounding it from the lead designer, lmfao.

Combat in the first game was pretty fucking simple: if they've got an exposed face stab them there to get an injury or bleed, if not you do an overhead strike with something that does a lot of blunt damage, especially if you've got the headcracker perk. I really don't blame them for getting rid of the head stabs in the second considering just "stab stab stab" was the go-to option for 90% of the game. Real shame overall considering that in the first game it wasn't just the head that had armor only protect the parts it covered. Vambraces wouldn't stop a blow to the upper arm, for example.

They did need to simplify combos though since with how chaining worked a single well-timed dodge or perfect block would completely negate it and send you back to square one, but not nearly to the degree they wound up doing.

Scarmaker the longsword combo is what you're referencing. It's super easy to use and will always end with a head-strike. It's absurdly strong and it actually makes several story fights a near instant win. Runt will just get ganked by it. It's really, REALLY funny.

I get why they probably swapped that. Once you don't have awful skills you can easily swat aside a lot of opponents in one on one.

Na, I was referring to just plain thrusts with a longsword. Scarmaker runs into issues if they have cheek armor such as with certain bascinets or chainmail, whereas a thrust goes right for the center axis that is exposed far more often.

There was also a certain amount of cheese with that shortsword master strike that slices off the front of their face from the chin upwards that was a guaranteed win in the tournament fights at Rattay if you managed to proc it.
