I wish Musa had been an Ethiopian Christian, it would have been far more interesting narratively.

Picture this, Musa as a soldier fighting for Ethiopia against the Mamlukes and Ottomans, just like the European kingdoms are. He gets captured in a battle, but as a nobleman he is sent to the capital as a captive. He manages to break out during the chaos of war or a siege or whatever, and makes his way west into Europe to continue the fight in any way he can.

This does three things. One, it does a decent job of explaining why he's with Sigismund. Sigismund as the King of Hungary has a vested interest in curtailing the spread of Islam since the Ottomans are practically in his back yard. Their interests line up, easy team up to kick Muslim ass. Two, it makes Musa mirror Henry quite a bit. His home is invaded, he swears revenge, he joins up with an army, where did I hear this one before? It would make their friendship a lot more believable Three, if it would really help the sappy "we are all same" messaging by you know, actually making Musa similar to the Bohemian.

It still would definitely have pissed people off, but it would have been cooler. Plus he could have dropped truth nukes on us by explaining the Arabic slave trade and how they kidnapped Christians to be slave soldiers and castrated their slaves.

To be fair, this was literally ALL people fucked asked for from the start. Like you can search my posts here, I mentioned how even hentai routinely has "all charecters depicted are over 18". And I said that something like this patch would be LITERALLY all they needed to do for at least legal clearance

However the fact it took it this long and had many copes before makes me imagine interpol, or steam, or someone contacted them and said "look shitheads, even if this seems petty, fucking patch it in a week or police are coming to arrest someone / take your game down".

So yeah, its 100% legal pressure, and they don't REALLY deserve praise. I imagine the cops / steam or whoever pressured them technically had to pressure them, but weren't in a HYPER rush to act persay, they just wanted it patched so they could forget about it.

I'm ultimately glad it DID get patched, even if it didn't earn them any points back.

So if Henry is also supposed to be the same age or so as Hans this means this was underage fucking both in KCD2 and 1 since you could bed Theresa, get a wank from a bath maid, and that one scene with the priest.

I'm not sure where this lands for me. Without sounding like I'm glazing dear feeder I agree with Josh's view of anime and kids, where it's obviously gross when they look like kids regardless of age, but if you look at something like JoJo they're also teens but clearly look like grown ass men which is what this is. So is it comparable and gets a pass or no because it's Western and they should know better than to sneak underage sex by the viewer because they're using models based on the actors.

If they did the whole "for creative liberty these characters are contemporary adults of 21 or older" from KCD1 this would've all been avoided.

No, I don't care that historically his uncle was a piece of shit who was hoarding that power until Hans/his historical equivalent were in their 20s, the meaning of that statement in the first game is that he is underage and there is no going around it.
You either have two underage characters having sex in your new game or you retcon your previous one so it doesn't make any sense. There is no winning here.

Was that even a thing in medieval Europe? I'm not the biggest history sperg but I do recall that a bunch of the various Henrys and Georges in England were like 12-15 when they assumed the throne.

True, there were cases like this but in this context I think the meaning is that Hans is too EMOTIONALLY immature. Like a child. He is not yet fit to rule until he becomes more mature and fit for the title.

I agree its really, really shit, but the fact they did SOMETHING is a relief. it doesn't make me happy persay, but compared to openly having that long term? yeah, its an improvement, even if its hamfisted

Also seems someone made a thread thanking warhorse, for patching out the underage stuff lmao.

Some of the Synthetic Man jannies reads this thread and are keeping tabs. The one called "Kanes Games" is going to make his own KCD2 review of it and will talk about this in a video review. I post one of his comments here to see his update. The guys are Synthetic Man orbiters and will sometimes make videos and stuff in similar to him.

Yes. They also call him explicitely underage in the first game which takes place in the same year, the dates place him at 15, and everyone openly agreed he was 15 until this whole mess.

The solution of saying "STFU HES TOTALLY 21" is a real band aid solution, they totally did not think this shit out.

I figure its JUST enough to prevent an arrest / deletion of the game.

That's why it took so long to change his age with a patch. The fucking patch ruins the plot of the first game and assassinates Hans' character because now he acts like a teenage brat at 20 which means now that he is mentally disabled and Hanush treats him like a retard.

And all of that was so fucking unecessary but that jewish faggot Vavra and his woke buddies wanted to include gay child porn so badly!

Fanbase doesn't see a problem with that either because muh boobies and le historical accuracy(just don't mention Musa or the synagogue). They see no problem with character assassination either when pretty much the entire main quest is just one big shit dumping session on Henry and Hans(sometimes quite literally). Anyone who enjoys this game either hates these two characters or doesn't care and wants to see them bone.

Don't forget, according to their community manager, the first game was going to be like this too but they didn't have the time/budget. I don't even know how true this is anymore since the writer didn't seem to change and Vavra was there from the start obviously. The first game was as decent as it was by accident, probably.

Seems like they will need to patch again : as currently it SOUNDS as if that patch to say hans isn't a minor doesn't apply to other languages outside english? Makes sense since probably each text has its own seperate written translation, meaning you would need to write "hes 21" for each language.

Notably a user on the steam forums was arguing he didn't see this change, but admitted he was playing on french.

I guess the moral of the story is the french are pedophiles?
 
Finished the game. Nigger was a 'friend' even though I ignored him all day and only spoke to him once. He just turns up to save Henry's life and join the goodguys for some reason. Smashed three girls...someone in a field after picking flowers, Ruth? or whoever the noble woman is, and the big titted girlboss.
Oh, Henry's brother is a Jew. In my version of the game he died like a bitch.
I also killed all of the Praguers instead of sneaking out :)
