Kingdom Come Deliverance - Or how I stopped worrying about SJW and love Bohemia | Now with betrayal and a lot more niggers. "Historically accurate." BlackRock ruined the series.

Also, Baldur's Gate is designed around the freedom of player choice, and if you like, you can kill these people.
That’s fine but it’s still a weird game to play. Turn based crap and unintuitive.
It’s not the generational masterpiece everyone thinks it is.
even as someone who enjoys Skyrim and Starfield
You’ve just signed your death warrant on this website.
But seriously tho, I couldn’t get into it. I was legit bummed out because I’ve liked most every BGS game from Morrowind onward. 76 and Starfield were just not it. I knew 76 wasn’t gonna be for me cuz I don’t like the idea of Multiplayer Elder Scrolls or Fallout but I legitimately tried to like Starfield.
I’m not super excited for ES6’s future at all. The only possible saving grace is that it would be what BGS is used to by having one specific hand crafted world and not procedurally generated crap like Starfield.
I fear tho that nothing will change until Emil is gone tho. Indiana Jones showed that Todd can still make a game as he was the director of that one except with Machine Games instead of BGS.

but to think Obsidian can compete with Bethesda in terms of scale is just head-canon by twitterfags
And the marginal writers of New Vegas aren’t even there now so their supposed advantage over Bethesda is legitimately gone lmao.

Can anyone recommend anything even loosely close to KCD1; an RPG or action-RPG in a middle-ages setting - preferably one that isn’t riddled with magic and dragons and fantasy shite.
Unfortunately Manor Lords can be mastered in like 8 hours and doesn't really put a lot of pressure on you. I got tired of making swastika-shaped cities after a while.

If you havent (and there are a lot of zoomies on KF these days, so its possible), play AC 2 and AC: Brotherhood. Timeless vidya classics.

That's mostly just your personal preference. I found the interactive nature of the game and systems very compelling.

As for Starfield, it's unenjoyable slop. Marginally better than Avowed I suppose, but the setting, which is usually where Bethesda excels, felt beyond soulless and devoid of creativity. No aliens? From Bethesda? Worst decision they could have possibly made was to aim for a 'grounded' sci-fi setting.

yeah I think im gonna drop this, Combat sucks and everything is clunky Thank god I didn't pay Full Price for KCD2 at least

my main criticism for Starfield was that the procedural generation was uninteresting, there was like 2 POIs in a planet and they mainly existed for things like the generic missions and the like, otherwise I felt it was a typical Bethesda title in the vein of Skyrim and Fallout 4 with similar strengths and flaws, though people always approach Bethesda games differently so I get what you are saying.

thats a tall order for Todd imo, even as someone who enjoys Skyrim and Starfield,
Sorry for the double post but fuck it. Modern Bethesda has shown that they don't understand what makes their games fun or compelling. They have shifted further and further towards linear story game loot and shoot slop with procedural generation to avoid having to actually design compelling content. Starfield does not let you kill a single named NPC and is so unbelievably woke that the only reason people don't mention how woke it is is because the writing is so bad you probably forgot ever major NPC you meet is black or a woman.

Elder Scrolls 6 will be dogshit awful. Todd does not know why people liked Skyrim and neither do any of the poojeets who work there in place of veteran staff. You will probably get a voiced forced Redguard protagonist, no choices in dialogue, procedural Ocean exploration, and a narrative about muh oppressed Redguard kangs fighting le evil white Bretons. Wakanda forever.

Where the combat really shines in KCD2 is watching the ai fight. It's so fucking God awful. The weapon clashes are fine, but anytime "flesh" is hit the game has hitlag to show the "weight" of the attack or whatever, and when it's ai fighting ai you can watch the blades speed up and suddenly to go to where they were supposed to in the animation if they didn't collide with something. Might as well be watching an old Bethesda games ai fight.

The enemies had problems walking trough doors in the final battle during Syths gameplay. Then one dead enemy got stuck in the door with his arm and blocked the entrance causing Synth to get trapped in the room for a short amount of time. He had Henry walk against the enemy's body a few times until his arm got unstuck and he fell on the floor.

Eurojank is hitting hard.
Endymion only plays cinematic slop, I guess Vavra's attempt to go AAA did not succeed
.
AlmightyFaggot really caping hard for the game.
If he ends up doing a video and coinciding with Synth, it's going to be fun.

Could be worse. I payed full price for that shit back in 2018. It was horrible.

That’s what I mean. They tried something new and it wasn’t good. Say what you want about Fallout 3, Oblivion, Skyrim and Fallout 4…Those are DENSELY packed worlds full of a shit ton to find and explore. Even people who like New Vegas criticize how empty and barren the map is.
That’s why BGS might be able to pull off ES6, it’s back to being a singular handcrafted world.

One of Starfield’s issues was having silly radiant quests like Fallout 4 and the really bad procedural generation. I just stopped after getting a quest and flying to the planet only to find the 20th research facility that looked the same as all the others. It wasn’t fun and it stunk.

I'm going to be honest, I loved this game way too much to care about the culture war stuff. Too many games are preachy about revenge. Not this game. It gave me the opportunity to get revenge, kill Markvart and Toth, and say damn straight I'd do it again.

Player choice in this game seems to be based on Vavra and his fellow embracer sell outs inserting multiple options with some that give you okay outcomes, AND a stealthily inserted choice that doesn't sounds like anything bad will happen but results in the NPC taking a big fat piss all over Henry's head and most of Henry's in text responses are variations of "Wow this rain sure is yellow.", with an option to say in the most meek and mild way "please stop urinating on my cranium" hidden behind skill checks. And when you do get the rare option to tell the character to go fuck themselves ala informing the Bailiff about Kreyzl's activities it is portrayed as a strictly evil option.

Then again maybe this is very realistic to someone's life experiences, but I doubt an accomplished man at arms like Henry is supposed to be at this point in his story would be this much of milksop who let anyone do half the shit of the bad outcomes to him without a fight in any circumstance. Henry is supposed to be a character of his own with his own preferences and beliefs that are separate from player choice and its inconceivable that he would accept half of humiliation characters can lay on him especially when it comes from random Jews, Gypsys, Blackamoors, Turks, Serfs, and Village Thots.

Remember, this is the same Henry that killed so many Cumans back home that they openly start fleeing when they see him, the same Henry that went from being a simple peasant boy to being an honorary knight in service of a noble. This isn't just character assassination, this kind of behavior coming from Henry just doesn't make any sense. I can buy his skills being reduced after the injury, sure, I can buy everybody hating him at the start for no reason(even tho it's just pure bullshit and a humiliation ritual from the perspective of the player). What I can't buy is that Henry would take any of it sitting down like you said, this is just Vavra trying to force us to enjoy the game HIS retarded way, ala Druckmann with TLOU2.
