Keep in mind you're comparing a company whose worth is measured in millions vs another whose worth is measured in billions, so you'd expect a discrepancy in gross profit between what would be a poorly received product from a billion dollar company vs a success for a million dollar company, especially when the billion dollar company still has goodwill to burn through.

I would also say anyone who thinks Starfield and KC2 are anything close to the same budget are mentally retarded. Starfield is a major company stationed in America that also outsources a fuckton to other countries as well why Warhorse is smaller and is in the Czech Republic, the development costs and marketing are not going to be anything close.

The game was fucking boring. Fallout 2 created an interesting atmosphere/setting and tried to be something more than a C-movie sci-fi plot with stock plot narratives woven in despite being in the same style. I'm sorry that the "corrupt rich guy, vs well-meaning sheriff" side-plot wasn't that gripping, and that was one of the more memorable ones. The main game was only marginally better, and was pretty much on par if not slightly below the mess that was Fallout 3's main story.

Of course people like yourself have to get upset to defend this relic of primitive gaming instead of trying to explain why. I understand though. Doomsday cultists worshipping a machine/flesh god hybrid leading an army of mutants promising a renewed Earth that involves turning everyone into monsters is so copy paste that there really isn't much you can say.

Fallout 1 was like something out of a bad Twlight Zone or Outer Limits episode.
