Fun fact, KOTOR was planned to have a dyke romance with the cat furry character, but they cut it out of the game.

At this point the gay romance was probably actually planned for the first game and therefore one of the first things they did when making the second. Vavra was always going to ruin the franchise, just like Druckmann ruined TLOU.

It diverts resources away from more interesting RPG choices.
You can see it in how Dragon Age went from having tons of interesting RPG choices with just one male companion that sucks dick, to nearly no rpg choices, but hey, at least every man in the gane also loves sucking dick.
No origin scenario like being a city elf that nearly gets raped by a local lord or a human noble that has his entire family butcherd by a rival, but you get to pick being a tranny so there's that.

1) You play as an failed Austrian artist living in Germany circa 1933 and the game gives you a thousand ways to kill jews and niggers. Or you can enslave them, banish them, or leave them alone. Your choice!
2) Politician or Hollywood Celebrity Simulator. You are put a plane that goes to a small Island owned by a jew named Epstein. You can have sex with children if you want. Or not. Your choice!
3) You are a male teenager watching your favorite cartoon series or playing your favorite video games. Suddenly, you are inspired to chop off your penis and become a girl. Or you can decide it's all a stupid fantasy. Your choice!

If anyone argues you shouldn't be given any of those choices, then they're just picking and choosing. Choice is just an excuse for "what amount of faggotry I am comfortable with."

Thats likely because most of the best RPG's in the early/Mid 2000's were all made by Bioware I vaguely remember being told that there were cut plans for a lesbian romance between a female player and Juhani but i've no idea if thats true for certain. Its about how much you can tolerate with it, in a setting like Cyberpunk where everyone is a degenerate to some level it makes perfect sense, even in Baldurs gate since forgotten realms has been pozzed for a few years (and also was ed greenwoods own personal magical realm) but it doesnt mean I like it or it should always be done.
