Clint is odd because in some posts he's completely aware of how dumb his son is, but in others he's full on "You're all just haters!". If I had to guess, he's under no delusions about how retarded Josh is but is willing to bet he legitimately does have a mere handful of "obsessive" haters as opposed to thousands of people casually ridiculing him. Not unlike his son, Clint too is a bit on the delusional end, and I think the idea of people casually yet routinely making fun of Josh is -for God knows what reason- harder to understand than the idea of a group of dedicated haters actively conspiring to fuck with him at every turn.
I guess it bares acknowledging that Clint also thought nothing of going onto a subreddit of said "haters" and, without prompting, freely admitted that his beloved offspring angrily reused to bathe and brush, and often smelled so bad he didn't like driving Josh places because it would take days for the stench to leave the car. So it's a safe assumption he too is sitting safety on the spectrum.
Clint gives this spiel almost verbatim whenever something fucked up happens that requires a response. I dont believe that anything can be done at this point to reverse the course as far as his content or audience goes. The things he won't and probably can't change about Josh and his behaviors are the very things that are causing his family so much grief. He needs to do a Bob Chandler and cut down Cobra's Internet if the harassment is that out of control.
Is it not completely obvious to everyone that Josh isn’t autistic? He’s not “on the spectrum”, he doesn’t have Aspergers, not even close. This is clear as day to anyone that has even the slightest experience with people that actually have a legitimate diagnosis.
It’s much more convenient for both Josh and his dip shit father to blame decades of his poor decision making and behavior on autism when in reality Josh is just stupid (literally, I don’t say that to be mean).
