That's the thing that fucks me up the most. In a way, Josh chose a slow suicide by hedonism and the fact that Clint had to find his lifeless, cold corpse.
And now he's finally able to take him to see places on the planet that he would've loved to go see when he was alive, but couldn't because of his many, many issues.
Clint wasn't a perfect dad, far from it and frankly that's one of the things I admire about him, because he did actually try to help his son despite/because of his multitude of handicaps.
Fuck, man. There are assholes who hurt everyone around them, deliberately, who survive until a ripe old age, who leave a wake of emotional and physical destruction behind.
Josh? Josh only hurt himself, and by extension his family due to them now grieving.
