As far as I can tell we've already heard all these tracks as he has played them numerous times while previously drunk on stream. But either way, nice to see Deathbed is releasing what he had access to and is donating all the proceeds to Autistic Self Advocacy Network. Hail Cobra!
The last song really hit when I got mine. Its like a farewell for himself.
Deathbed talked about doing a box release of one of Cobra's older + newer albums on the Celebration of Life stream as well but I'm not sure what his plans are.

I really regret not buying the Chainsaw Sicko Massacre vinyl before he passed away. At least I got the shirt.

I hope the king had a good Ol’ Hallows Eve eating the dank ghost food hacks we provided him.
I watched the celebration of life and downed a couple four loco blue razz in his honor like I did when watching the stream live. I also had some awful buffalo chicken nuggies and today my asshole is begging for death. Cobes should be well fed.

I hope The Green Phantom is doing OK. It must be devastating to lose a close creative collaborator in Josh, especially since GP seems to be a bit of a recluse who only goes out around Halloween.

When was the first time you came across Cobes? What was the very first video and what were your thoughts?

For me it was the channel Internet Collective. The videos are down I don’t know why but they had that edit of airsoftfatty eating shit while playing with lightsabers “anger is not the way of the Jedi!” Etc. This must have been summer 2019? In that channel they had an edit of “genetic Mountain Dew” and I watched it and was captivated by Josh’s antics.

I thought he was a dude playing a character, there was just no way he was for real right? It seemed so much like he was doing a bit, with not clueing into why Siri kept interrupting, mixing up the words “genetic” and “generic” repeatedly, and his overall appearance and demeanor. I thought this is some top notch satire, this dude is playing the fool so good.

I laughed until I had to wipe tears out of my eyes. I was hooked, I needed more of this comedic genius. I searched “kingcobrajfs” on YouTube. The next video, and the second I watched was “Datong is not a social Statis which had me going good. The wand, bragging about conjuring a thunderstorm, shouting out a homebody that gifted him a single cigarette. It was comedy gold. This man was a genius.

I watched more, I fell down the rabbit hole. I began to think “man, this guy is dedicated to the bit! His channel hardly has any views and he’s been at it for ages. Maybe people don’t get the joke? Or can’t clue in he’s playing a character?” But I kept watching, more and more. The bitesize showed up in my recommended, I started watching that. The hair dye video, deep frtd avacado, more and more. And then I thought began to creep in. “Wait… I think this guy is for real?” Maybe it WASN’T a guy playing a character, maybe it wasn’t some comedic genius who was extremely committed to the bit, maybe there is a man out there who really exists, that this is the real deal.

That sealed it. I was hooked. Knowing it wasn’t a bit, knowing it wasn’t a character, that elevated it from comedic gold to something brand new. Something unquantifiable. A level of comedy and entertainment that you can’t find elsewhere. From then on i was an unironic fan of cobra’s.

Anyway, not to rant like a retard or whatever I just thought it would be interesting to share how we came across cobra, what our first impressions were. You don’t simply wake up one day and decide to start watching kingcobrajfs out of the blue, becoming a cobra watcher, somebody who watched and followed enough of cobra to sign up to a form to discuss about him is a story in and of itself.

I watched Gothic King Cobra in 2019 because it would get posted a lot in youtube kino threads on /tv/. It was so well made that it really stuck with me even if I didn't fully appreciate it back then. I think that I just thought that he was this weird guy living in a dead end town in the middle of nowhere. It wouldn't be until years later when I would see the cigarette meltdown featured here that really started to become interested in him.

It was over 10 years ago, before he purged his youtube channel, so I can't remember the exact video. I had been using a 2nd youtube account to watch other entry level lolcow videos, Wings, DSP, LTG, and various weirdos to skew my algorithm into recommending me other lolcows and fringe youtubers who don't get many views. That's when I saw him, a thumbnail of a gothic lesbian getting day drunk and chain smoking in front of his computer, talking about random crap. I was hooked instantly, I watched his videos for the next several hours straight, linking timestamps to all of my friends, laughing like crazy.

Before I was deep into this strange little culture that I now enjoy, I knew only about Chris Chan and some of the Tik Tok lolcows. All I knew was that they were laughed at, but deep down their viewers hated them.

One of my favourite rappers, Danny Brown spoke about Cobes as a "lolcow" but made it clear that he actually was really affectionate towards him and cared about his wellbeing. That surprised me, so I read more about him, and I also couldn't help but be kind of charmed by the guy. He was something else, sort of like a loveable little cousin, and everyone involved had fun with it- even him until the end. I liked that about him.

RIP KingCobraJFS 🖤

My friend who wasn't a big Cobra fan just googled "kingcobrajfs sayings" and this was the google AI result

Google is a fucking troll, dude.

i know i asked before, but im a retard and ive forgotten, but can anyone help me find that one video where warlord tries to give him a bag of free food pantry items while he was streaming, and he got annoyed and was like "i can make wands, i dont need this", to paraphrase...that was so funny, because you could tell he was embarrased, but wanted to try and play it cool anyway.
also, i hope everyone had an awesome halloween, and i hope clint and his family were able to get through it with minimal sadness, but im sure it was definitely rough.

I used to watch this kiwifarms-ripoff youtuber called Deadwing Dork. He'd make short joke videos about ye olde 4chan and eventually he started doing lolcow streams not much different from how Dear Feeder's older MATI streams used to be. The canadian cripple eventually had a stream segment about Cobes and his cooking, I think he showcased the sushi burger and at first I didn't get it. I thought "this is just some retard who looks like he got hit by a shovel, making gross food with random ingredients that should never even be considered for mixing together."
Fast forward to around the time of the curse of Mrs. Green. I had quietly been wondering to myself what this weirdo had been up to since the sushi burger and eventually I found my way over to Bitesize's channel and started watching his vids. I couldn't believe my eyes that this fucking retard was blowing weed smoke into the face of that poor mantis, giving her sips of beer and so on. I was hooked and I slowly made my way through Bite's documentaries on the various arcs like the Bailey and Izzy saga, and the responce videos to Lee-Ann Michelle.

Who knew that this creature of a human being would end up ruling my miserable, sad life. Who knew I'd actually end up soft on the boy, and that I'd still mourn him two months after his death. I even told my parents about him, though not the nitty gritty details of his life, just that there was a regarded man from the states who'd make youtube videos and how I'd recognise some of his struggles as minor red flags for my own life, and that his death had left an impact on me.

I can't even remember when I was first introduced to Cobes. I took a pretty long sabbatical from the Internet while life interceded, and the next thing I remember was watching various Sektor-Adjacent stuff around 2017ish.

I saw the stream where Ralph got nuked off YT, a handful of bloodsports, and then somehow I fell back into the lolcow-sphere after catching up on Chris. Fast forward post-COVID, and I was watching the boy pretty consistently. The last live one I watched was the infamous Cat Food Big Mac, and I almost pissed myself laughing at him "owning the trolls" by eating catfood so rancid that even Cobes looked like he might vomit.

Despite being completely full of shit with the mental state of a fourth grader trying to impress the classroom, there was a purity to Josh that just doesn't exist anymore. I miss the boy.

Think what you will of Rogue, Internet Man, but he was my introduction to Cobes in 2022. I thought he was super boring at first, but he very slowly grew on me. I wanna say that it was very slightly before he got Puff that I started getting into him.
