I knew OF Josh before he died, but I didn’t look into him beyond the surface more until after he died. I’d like to think that he knew that at least one goth chick cried over his memorial service for him. If this is what’s needed to remove the “self proclaimed” in his thread title, so be it.

And felt the need to drink in his honor and listen to rock music afterwords.

Hearing Clint go through memories of Josh was heartbreaking but wholesome with the photos of his childhood. I hope Josh found peace with God in heaven. He really owned all of us, the Reddit snarks better really look into themselves to see what they have done. Just with the people that have recently passed away are starting to hurt everyone, Josh hurts especially. It makes me want to sympathize with people now rather than to have hatred in my heart. At the end of the day we are all human and should love our families and loved ones. From reading this thread so far, Josh's story touched our hearts in a positive way.

Rest In Peace Josh, you were always loved.

Hopefully God welcomed him with open arms. Flawed as he was, he did what he loved to do. Gotta give him credit there.

I don't drink but I have a few packages of stupidly hot ramen that I haven't eaten yet because they are way too spicy for me. I am going to make a dank food hack out of a pack of those in Cobra's honor since he loved to play up his spice tolerance.

Eventually this thread will die down like the wind. People might pop in on the obligatory big days to reminisce about cobra like Christmas, valentines, his birthday etc and then eventually those days will go quiet. Life will go on. But all you true cobra fan, the real ones who didn’t buy the bullshit people made up, the fanfiction, the slander. The ones that were here just for the wild ride, to laugh at and with Josh through the years. You’ll remember Josh Saunders, just like I do.

Probably a mixture of the two, one peaking his interest, the other one cementing it.

Bit of a power lvl-ish analogue: I'm close to Josh's age and have a similar lifelong obsession with sharks - it started to develop in the early 90s when I saw them in cartoons and thought they were cool, and I must have talked about them a bit too much because one day my dad surprised me with this movie he got on tape called JAWS. I was too young to know what that was at the time, but once I watched it it made the whole thing grew into a near-tistic, lifelong love for both marine life and classic genre movies. It's hard to place it where it starts sometime, you just end up with a bunch of comfy memories as it creeps into your life, it just makes sense that this is what you like.

Speaking of dads, this is actually my father's birthday today. Defo some theme going on here tonight and it's making things hit extra hard, man.

Cobes has always sat in what is (almost) the worst zone of mental deficiency. He was always visibly "weird" but it might not have always been immediately apparent that he was full-on disabled versus just like, one of the strange locals every small town has. If he had Down's or severe FAS, the kind of thing with recognizable physical markers, he probably would've been bullied a lot less because people would instantly get it and would probably take it a lot easier on him. He was also disabled enough to recognize his own shortcomings, but not disabled enough to not care about them. His only saving grace, if one can even call it that, was that he was disabled enough to get some government benefits so he could be at least somewhat independent. Really really unlucky, ever since the day he was born. :(

I didn’t know much about Clint - but when it got to the part of the video where he was explaining either you have to love and accept your son as he is or not have a relationship with him and he decided that day that he would no longer try to “correct” Josh into being somebody is isn’t but instead love Josh for who he is - I respected him a lot. That takes a lot of strength. And don’t even get me crying again on how he cherished the compassion he said Josh taught him towards humanity by being “unique”

Don't you think that maybe he wanted to avoid the whole celebration to be taken down for a copyrighted song? And how is he being greedy, did you not read his comments?:
