I have to disagree, in the old apartment he was able to walk and cycle everywhere, weather permitting. The conquistadors were located in the middle of suburbs, far from the city center or places to cycle to. He started to rely more on clint to take him grocery shopping and to get his mail etc. This is were he started to become more reclusive.

Mid 2021 the wyoming governor signed a bill that allowed alcohol delivery through licensed businesses and by the end of the year he didn't have to leave the apartment anymore for booze if he had money for it. This is also when reddit tards slowly started sending him more and more liquor.

I do agree that conquistadors was where he started going down hill, but I look back at those even now and he still had better motor skills and talked a little faster imo. By the time he moved to the trailer, I think he was fed up with life, he was rarely ever happy there, and he obviously missed the conquistadors very badly.

I was really hoping for a redemption saga. That Josh would have a health scare, or would somehow have an epiphany about his lifestyle and turn things around. Nothing wrong with being a hermit, but the alcohol abuse was too much. My father drank like that for decades. He is currently 70 and in good health since quitting a couple years ago. Genes, def play a role, but goddamn.

I feel like there's also a difference between people who laughed at some of Cobra's mannerisms and some of his actions, and people who actively fucked with Cobra by sending him booze or calling the cops on him.

Well, Josh was not the average person, so i guess it's understandable why making certain distinctions feels hard to do.
Josh was unintentionally funny, most of the time people laughed at how clumsy he was, at his inaptitude when doing normal things like using a can opener, at some of his rants talking about sickos etc, but he never saw those things as funny.
And, to be fair, i believe even Clint understood some of the appeal, he mentioned in his video confirming Cobra's death that he would make "food hacks" that nobody would ever eat, and he said that before in that "Empire of Dirt" doc iirc, so he understood that some of the appeal was that Cobra did things in an unusual way that would often lead to hilarious results.
To laugh at Cobra's mishaps was not necessarily to be a troll, but to be a troll i don't think necessarily means not being a fan. You could be a troll and also love Cobra and wish him nothing but the best, but i'm only talking about the people who didn't take things too far unnecessarily or tried to stir the pot to "get some content" out of the boy.

I can understand what you're saying, and i can agree with it partially, but there's a huge difference between giving Cobra a bottle of wine or a pack of beer and giving him 2 bottles of 90% alcohol just after Ozzy died, let's not kid ourselves here.

The boy for 15 years has put in his body everything bad in excess. Energy drinks, tobacco, weed, alcohol, pure fat, every saturated food doordash offers, homebrew mead, 3-day old counter wendys, toxic fumes from spray paint and air duster, and those surstrommings.
At one point he rode bike whenever the weather was permittable, but those days have been gone for years.

Nearly everything he does is to cultivate what he thinks is a cool guy image. He drinks alcohol and clearly doesn't like the taste.

Definitely not. The reality is there is no script flip. People who think that just aren't familiar with Cobra or are logs. He was a scamp and it was fun to make fun of him. At the same time most of us identified with him and rooted for him. Most of Cobra's foibles were harmless to everyone but himself, his other habits were fairly innocuous. With the fullness of his life now bare people don't have to worry about Cobra getting worse or doing something unforgivable.
Chris will get pity. Like most lolcows his life was tragic and avoidable, even if he had a hand in making it what it was. But no great number of people will sincerely pretend that he was loved.

Yeah, even in the Conquistadors he was doing better. I think his decline really started to accelerate once he moved into the trailer. Not to mention all the close friends and Ozzy who he lost in such a short amount of time as well.

If we're being honest, Cobra always drank a lot. His first paycheck was an assortment of energy drinks and Jager, IIRC.

When he lost his job at Wendy's, he worked with Warlord in the dish pit but when that fell through and he was convinced to start his wand business, that's when the deterioration started. He had no schedule, no structure to his day, no NEED to be sober since he could just stay at home and get hammered. He learned that he never needed to work; donations, wand money and government cheques could do just nicely. Ever since, it's been a slow decline where he became more and more depressed, more and more drunk. Wands stopped going out frequently, albums were spaced out more and had less effort or passion applied to them. Less interaction with the world because he never needed to really leave and less people coming to see him because the light in his eyes was dying.

He didn't just lose that job at Wendy's. He lost the social pressure to be sober, to try to act normally, the structure of life that brings some peace. Every step after that moment was a step towards death and the worst part is that Josh knew this, admitted this and embraced it.
