If you believe that I do not know what to tell you bud, you clearly did not see the actual extent to wish josh was being fucked with through the phone. I mean there are examples in cooking videos and off stream video rants where he is getting texted when someone wouldnt know he was making a video and him getting angry.

He lies obviously, but its clear why he smashed his phone, not just because he is clumsy and drunk. But as an aside to that, check his level of drunkeness and temperament when he breaks shit.

Man.. my heart aches. I hadn’t followed Josh closely in years but I have been reading through this thread and I am just so sad to see what his life had become. Thinking of how much pain he was in is just heartbreaking. No one should die alone.

I’ll leave this thread with my favourite era of Josh.. Hot Pocket Josh. He was so funny and I love that he embraced his weirdness. Fuck the sickos who harassed him. RIP Josh.

It was sudden in a sense that most people (myself included) thought he was going to get increasingly ill (which could have been what was happening and we didn't know about) until he either (kinda) got his shit together or dropped dead. Like, maybe he would piss blood and go the hospital and find out his kidney was failling and he would get the hemodialysis saga, or maybe he would find out his liver was shot and we would be in the "waiting for a liver transplant" saga. I thought we would get one last saga before it happened, to be honest.

Despite of how you felt about him when he was still alive, if he was dead for years it was because he became a hermit. He became a hermit because his reddit trolls were such big assholes that they couldn't let the guy just have fun, so he was constantly worried that if he went out people would find out where he was and call the police on him. Good people also didn't want to associate with him publicly anymore because they didn't want to put up with redditors looking at everything they did, so only shitty people wanted to associate with him and they were the worst, they were clout goblins, drug addicts, drunks themselves.

At the end of the day it's just sad to see someone so young die like that, Cobra was only 34 years old. I have a friend right now who's about to have a baby with his wife and he's Cobra's age. It puts things into perspective, i guess.
I'm still sad about this, i can't imagine how Clint is feeling, hope he's hanging in there.
He wasn't a misunderstood genius or anything, but somehow he unintentionally touched a lot of people's lives just by being himself.
 
There's a video of Cobes singing 'Hurt', sipping from a drink with a somber expression, almost in a drunken stupor, while the audience laughs. It's such a perfect picture of everything that was wrong with his life, yet it also made us aware of and appreciative of his existence.

I'm genuinely sad about his death. He deserved to live in a better environment where his closest ones could guide him away from self-destruction.

I'm sure Ozzy will appreciate all your drink combos, king.
 
I've been debating whether to say something since yesterday because everything I could say has already been said a million times. But here we go anyways.

I remember I was first introduced to Cobes by the Trapped documentary all those years ago. I didn't watch every video cobes uploaded but I always kept up with him.

Watching Clints video I cried like a little bitch. When it started playing I turned my screen to my husband and pointed at it and just cried. I truly didn't expect that reaction out of me. I've always had a soft spot for Cobes but I feel like I lost a irl friend.

Rip Cobes.

From what I've read, this guy's death is sad, really, and all the people who enabled his alcohol problem should be ashamed of themselves. Goodbye, Cobes. If there is an afterlife, I hope you get everything you couldn't get in this life out of it.

I wasn't always around on this board, but I kept up with the boy and wished him well from afar. Sad to lose such a wholesome Lolcow; Cobes was a real one and deserved better than this ending.

You guys can have the nasty drinks. Today, in honor of Cobes, I'm gonna ride bike, weather permitting.

My bet is the alcoholism with a side of malnutrition. He drank an insane amount on a daily basis, ate the most unhealthy concoctions imaginable, and rarely left his trailer. Yes, even a 34 year old can die of cirrhosis with a lifestyle like his.

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if NAL had a hand in it. On hindsight, her video of putting together the care package had a creepy, methodical feel to it, which is uncharacteristic of her. Also, there hasn't been a peep from her regarding Cobes' death. I'm not leaning toward that theory because it's a long shot, just saying it wouldn't surprise me.

Hardcore alcoholics generally have a problem with their liver or pancreas first in their 30's or 40's if they've ignored the rest of the signs like malnutrition, high blood pressure, severe withdrawals and mental health deterioration.

Josh's last video had him complaining (among other things) of it hurting to breathe. Which indicates to me something below his diaphragm was swollen/tender. Both of those organs are directly below the diaphragm.

While liver failure to cause death generally doesn't happen acutely (in a short period of time or instantly), it can happen if you're already well into cirrhosis. But there would typically be other signs like jaundice (very yellow skin and eyes).

The Pancreas is a whole different issue and can cause death quickly if it gave up the fight. If that quits working, you begin digesting your own stomach, you lose the ability to digest food and your body expels whatever you eat or drink instantly. It's a painful, terrible way to die over a few days.

NAL holds as much accountability as everyone who sent him alcohol, duster and other shit. I dont like her, and I hate the fact that redditors and malicious parties got her involved with Cobra but sending someone seeds doesnt indicate that she did it maliciously so he would eat them.

Furthermore the true crime lovers and clearly terminally online are missing the point that even if he had them, it doesnt mean he ate them. It's really coming off at the moment like people want him to be poisoned by NAL so there is a happening going on.

Cobes wasnt just some fucking brain mush retard that would do anything, he comes across that way because grifters clip his shit and spread it to the world presenting this illusion. His food combos were gross, he ate some old and dangerous shit. But nothing indicates it was those seeds and there is a more logical and clear issue why he died from what we see and know.
 
It's still hitting me in the weirdest way. I was only ever a casual follower of Cobes and I don't think I realised how long I've been watching his antics until I saw the hair dye video again. It's oddly parasocial, but I feel like a part of my life's routine is just missing now. It's hard to come to terms with that we're never getting more Cobra videos. Im not one to grieve over a stranger, but im grieving for him.


Can we mark August 22nd on the calendar as a day to raise our glasses in memory of Cobes? I know I will
