That's how you preserve the yeast culture. Boglim yeast can survive high acidity and low oxygen but dies when exposed to vegetable phytochemicals

Holy shit he actually made a somewhat normal batch. Just caramels and apples? I'd say this batch has the "best" chance to actually ferment, but because I don't trust Cobes to sanitize his equipment properly, it is still a slim chance.
