Sounds about right. Its not that simple, this would be EXTENSIVE oral surgery. First the initial check up, then the exrays would take forever cause there in nothing to bite down on, then payment planning and schedule planning, the first round of intense anti-biotics. Which Cobes will not be able to drink on-at all. Then another appointment, very likely a second round of antibiotics (we are in week three or the middle of month 2 at this point depending), then the first of many, many extractions. Healing, more antibiotics, more extractions, more healing, more antibiotics. Implant surgery consultation, implant surgery, healing, more antibiotics...With the state of his mouth today up until the final dental check-up, we are talking months of work/healing and thousands of dollars. Im not talking like 5k, but more like 25-50k. The biggest factor would be Cobes actually taking care of himself throughout the whole process, which we all know he refuses to do.
My mother went through a long and arduous journey for her permanent implants after 17 years of not seeing a dentist. Her mouth was nowhere near where Cobes is but I think her timeline went something like 1-2 years, thanks to corona, from the initial infection she suddenly had, to all but four teeth got pulled, to her temporary dentures and finally to her new permanent teeth that have been put in place with screws and stuff in her jaw bones. Just the recovery from the infection to where her team could start THINKING of giving her dentures took quite a while.
And she brushed her teeth, she just used to smoke and she has a bad case of fear of dentists.

Damn I feel so bad for Cobes but he's in a hell of his own making. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to floss and brush my own teeth.
