I don't know, I find them hilarious tbh. How is a frazzled sad pouting man baby explaining that because his phone didn't instantly respond to his drunken command that it was hacked by "troles", not hilarious? Every time he smashes a phone it's hilarious. It also gives us a couple days of very crisp HD content when he gets a new phone before his mould grows all over it. Plus the 1920s silent film paypal hostage videos that he uploads while he's begging for money completing paypig requests are always interesting.

It doesn't matter if you wrap the phone in Kevlar and dip it in concrete, he will break it. It doesn't happen by accident, he purposely smashes them because he's a literal retard. Perfect example is the taxi cab, coke fueled, didn't have his "card" smash. Because he was embarrassed that he had no money when he was on a date with NAL, he smashed his phone in the back of an uber, instead of.... you know doing literally anything else.
 
Its kinda like when he smashed his guitar. A guitar case wouldn't have stopped him from grabbing it by one end and repeatedly swinging it into the floor until it came apart into pieces.

These really are the best video because it's amazing watch this Boglim condescendingly explain that actually he chinps out and smashes shit because he's a gothic rock star cowbell cowboy.
 
i was think about this, during the yourfavoriteson interview with Clint, Josh said he had matured and was being more responsible. obviously this is cope from clint and josh. but i have noticed josh being slower and less volatile.

now the question is, did he actually mature (slightly), or has the duster abuse self-lobotomized him and thats what has actually changed his temperament.

The real humor in Cobes' case is that it comes from a self-created problem. Harken back to the days of lighters and bottles not staying on his fucking desk - Josh has a great ability to think something is a problem, get really worked up over the self-created problem, and then sperg out and break shit. It's like a child getting mad after hitting themselves in the face, you can't help but laugh.

This is his 5th phone this year. Sep 2nd is the one he smashed while NAL was there, the most recent one isn't listed. So he's smashed 5 in 2024, will we get another before the new year? Probably.

What I enjoy about Cobes' "explanations" about the phones is that he has a tendency to imply it's a passive event that just "occurred".

It’s so interesting to me that he’s incapable of regulating his emotions to such a degree. Something happens that upsets him and he just can’t contain himself. It’s one of the ways his autism really shows itself. The fact that he just full on punches his phone screen despite the fact that doing that exact thing cost him so many phones is hilarious. I remember the Ozzy song meltdown when he thought the trolls hacked his phone and he punched it. He was pissed, out of control, lunched his phone, saw the screen broke, and then it was instant regret. Like dude all you need to do is NOT punch your phone.
