I’ve always really liked this quality in Josh. He is a profoundly lonely person who craves intimacy constantly. It takes the form of what an 18 year old might consider intimacy but that’s the world for him, it’s no less profoundly heartbreaking for him than it would someone with a more mature understanding of it. It does genuinely break his heart to be so alone for so long. It would be so easy, in his position, for any man to be desperate enough to accept any kind of love in their life and learn to tolerate the side effects because the alternative is so much worse, it’s what drives some men to killing themselves.

He just doesn’t give in to that. He’s astoundingly reasonable with women and fairly forgiving but the moment they flip their shit and engage BPD Mode and make his life miserable, he kicks them out without a second thought and continues being whatever he was before almost unaffected. He just doesn’t tolerate fucked up women making his life hard. That’s a pretty hard thing to do, knowing in your heart of hearts that it might be another 10 years before you’re intimate again.

Go to your sisters baby shower and address everyone as YouTube, consistently but not too many times. Allow the confusion to set in.
