Overdraft protection is why he goes negative. Overdraft protection allows the transaction to go through even without sufficient funds and they charge you a fee for the service. It can be disabled with a single phone call(likely even through the web portal) and the card will simply decline the transaction if funds are insufficient. Father and son, both retarded.

Bank of America does not offer it. You can't disable it. You can only link your account (*Balance Connect*) to another account to pull the funds from. You can't outright have it disabled though. The other banks near him, you can. For some reason Clint put the account that Cobra has access to, as a shared account on his bank of america account. I understand completely why he has separated him from the tugboat account, but if your retarded son is always in the negative why not open an account at a bank where they prevent you from overdrafting and don't charge you out the ass for doing so.

You're not wrong. His music has been getting a lot more self aware lately. Compare the lyrics of "Drink Beer" from 2021 to "Liquid Sunshine" from 2023. He was probably inspired by Johnny Cash's "Hurt" which coincidentally seems to be one of his favorite songs.

Bank of America Allows You To Determine Your Overdraft Settings​

If you have a Bank of America Advantage Plus Banking® or Advantage Relationship Banking® account, you can select between two overdraft options that can help you minimize overdraft fees. The Standard setting allows Bank of America to pay checks or scheduled payments at its discretion, even if it results in an overdraft fee. You’ll incur the $10 charge for every paid overdraft item — up to a limit of two per day.


If you select the Decline All overdraft option, Bank of America will automatically decline checks, scheduled payments or other charges that result in an overdrawn account. You won’t incur overdraft fees for returned items from Bank of America. However, the company you were supposed to pay may charge you a returned item fee and attempt to retry the transaction in the future.

Selecting the Decline All overdraft option protects you from overdraft fees, and it may be an ideal alternative if you’re concerned about overdrawing your account.

Remember that if you select the Decline All option, you may run into problems if a critical bill isn’t paid because you don’t have enough money in your account. For instance, if your monthly credit card payment is declined because of insufficient funds, the creditor may charge you a late fee. The late fee may be more than the $10 overdraft fee. In that case, allowing Bank of America to cover your payment and charge you the $10 overdraft fee is likely the better choice.

It does mention having one of two types of accounts. If he has the lowest tier of account there are no fees for overdraft per the BofA website. Since he obviously doesn't as he overdrafts constantly he can choose Decline All with a phone call.

It's genuinely a little sad, because the boy really wanted to love her. He had way more empathy, and better people skills than I expected in their fights, and Jessica really fucked up her only shot at happiness with a man.

This saga has been fucking deep on so many levels. The empathy and people skills during their fights was really surprising seeing how well he handled Gothie just a couple years ago. Maybe some of that therapy actually got to his gourd.

Even Cobes in his state of arrested development learned pretty quick that "I can fix her" will never work. Much less retarded men have trouble figuring that out until their second divorce in their 40's.
